  1. lol he or she seems to like Ulrich Ostergaard, He's a feasible signing for the Diamonds
  2. Simon Stead is going to come to Newcastle because?
  3. Very good side I'd say. Suprised Aspegren's average is that high to be honest with you. He's signed for Rye House...
  4. Er gating is rather essential at Berwick and Speedway in general I'd say allen is more of a risk from than Howe going on there respective cmas
  5. Howe would be a good move, no doubt in my mind
  6. How would Berwick fans feel about Ben Barker leading the Bandits into 2014? The best visitor at Shiefield in 2013 for me, other than that thought Barker had a poor season maybe a move up north with the roar of the Bandits support could be a match made in heaven? Then again a Berwick fan once famously told me we weere hell bent on signing Gregorz Walasek... a funny bunch....
  7. Poland and Sweden run squad systems, so if your mince like Barret and Aspergren were you get dropped
  8. It's not a given Bellego will actually race many meetings.
  9. More meetings for Bellego, he's signed for a good club with a track I would consider along with Opole and Bydgoszcz as one of the best tracks in the world. Wethers did a good job all round, he's one of these blokes that I don't imagine will be short of offers and if he goes to a track he scores well on I think Matty would be an asset for that team. Berwick would need replace him with a solid 3rd Heat Leader, a few possibilities have been mentioned above. Berwick seem to have good options for the middle order this year. Maybe the way forward is to go with a very strong Top 5 and little at reserve.
  10. some appetising suggestions, I'm sure Mr English will have everything under control at the Newcastle Stadium
  11. Put both of there good points together and you have a fine blend, without going bust, winner
  12. Peter Waite though he had faults new how to spot a rider and in doing this bringing them over to the club, he got consistant performances from them. Maybe with better financial packages from sponsors etc, he would have had more he got a good 10 years service from Makovsky and Rymel in two of his last 3 years as a Bandit under PW averaged 9 points ish. Pietraszko as well, I'm convinced had he stuck with Speedway he would have gone on to bigger things. Realistically there isn't a PW among the promotion, who knows the foreign market. While Waite excelled at Scouting talent bringing in forgotten journeyman making them tick. Our talents seem to be putting on big meetings (which the club did very well). These riders are out there though a look in the Speedway Star or a browse of Speedway Results International section could very well open unseen gems. In ideal world we would have a No1 and two reserves capable of interchanging with the main body. I do think you need to look at the club's history of performance in recent seasons too give of an idea of how we will perform in 2014. The resources we have available in terms of riders is not ideal. Bellego is a talent, Wethers is solid Carr/Starke at reserve is not going to scare anyone and we have no big hitters to carry us through in the later races. Then again we could really pull it out of the bag with a big signing (or something) and have a great season. Peter Waite was also a great motivator getting the best from his riders. Has Ian Rae done this? Ian said in the programme its important the boys are having a "good time". Yes, I am sure they enjoyed the season as much as they club's supporters did. Mr Anderson's tenure putting to one sides all the stadium work, has brought mid table finishes close home wins and usually going missing on away tracks. Nothing at present is suggesting 2014 will be any different.
  13. I'd take Kozza over Claus... step backwards
  14. I mentioned Vissing, perfect replacement to come in for Robin Did well for the Monarchs I thought.... Doolan, Nemo deffo yes Bjerre seems to miss a lot of meetings, will 2014 be the same? Karlsson nope, Jan Graveson? be as well signing me around Berwick
  15. The Sport is dying over here ever so slowly... Enjoy what we have now, because in 5 or 10 years time I can't see the Sport in UK improving personally
  16. I would imagine Oliver Allen will have interest from a good few PL teams. 8.09 is a figure I have no doubt he WILL improve on. Good signing on that average meaning there will be points to play with elsewhere in the team. A No1 as Emilali says he probably isn't (at this time of writing). Erm Poole?
  17. Fantastic effort by the fans and everyone who contributed..
  18. Okay so Craig realistically is going to target the Elitserian as opposed to the Allsvenkan (sp?) as it is a Thursday night. You know how strong the top tier IS , Sweden is the strongest league in the world when you include all teams from 1-7. Woffinden didn't get a team place and Sayfutdinov was dropped from Indianarna after a string off rubbish scores. As you say scoring maximums at Armadale against our mob and others is a bit different from the big boy leagues... I don't think another season at Edinburgh and maybe doing a full season with Belle Vue at No1 or 5 would do him any harm though, with the odd meeting on the continent. Cook, Barker and Bridger all struggled for GB to be honest Barker was appauling in the WC but he's struggled for most of the season. Doyley when he did race in Poland Pre Pawlicki's loan move from Leszno was a bit part rider for a run of the mill Pila team. Fisher - Don't think he's in Poland anymore Larsen - Initially went too Krakow, then too bankrupt Rybinik again not sure if he is still in Poland Barker - Sparingly used by Opole Bridger - Was trying to get in Bydgoszcz, think Lewis got a bit carried away there Ostergard - Not used in Poland or Sweden, then again he is struggling in the PL Stead - Only ever rode 3rd tier Okay Woffinden has been sensational across the board this year. Most Brits struggle abroad, Nicholls, Harris and Lee Rico 8-9pt men in the El, nobodies aborad..... On Suday afternoons and Tuesday nights
  19. Because scoring maximums for Edinburgh probably brings in a better income. Than the odd meeting in Poland and Sweden PL also provides regular match fitness which Poland in paticular in the bottom tier doesn't provide. He's the 2nd best rider in the UK, but Craig will do what is best for him, look at Barker and Bridger chased the Polish dream, and still can't get clubs 3 years later
  20. If they have lost 50K this year, scoring 9 points all season how much more money would Glasgow have lost say had they put together a side (who finished 7th). How are other clubs running with similar crowds and paying out more points money?
