  1. John might run us into the ground, but SPEEDWAY at Berwick will never die or in general
  2. Speedway is not an addiction anymore, these days a mere formality.
  3. Tbf Screm in the last 5 years I reckon you could count on one hand the number cracking meetings we've had. I agree with Emilali though, the track is so one dimensional. When people who don't go say Speedway is just 4 guys going round in a circular motion X4. Berwick isn't far off that. Auty and Ashworth's race last year was a cracker as was the Glasgow cup meeting in 2011 failing those two your looking at Kings Lynn back in 2009. We've lost Complin also who was someone who even when we got shafted was still capable of a great race. If Ricky is going to be out, we need to bring in a big name who is going too put life into the place. Fear into the oppisistion. You fancy your chances as an away team coming to Berwick these days, we have never been great travellers but our home matches was where we held our own. The team are going to need to pull something out of the ordinary if they are to stay unbeaten in the next 3 home matches.
  4. If we beat Workington, its Leicester and Newcastle after that....
  5. Thought the standard of racing was pretty average for Berwick. Track rather slick with little grip out wide its so important to make starts (i.e Joe Haines) in Heat 7. Pretty much all the races were strung out after the 1st bend. Wells and Stead netted 25 points in there first 4 rides, to be honest they need not have bothered getting changed into there kevlars it looked so easy, paticularly the latter. Sheffield had nothing at reserve as expected, Albin is a battler, but he wont make millions at Shiefield, gating as he did. For Berwick, we got through, intresting to see what could have happened in Heat 14 pre crash...
  6. Maybe have a point if Kling rode well (hes usually better on the smaller tracks) Think Proctor's scores have generally been poor around Edinburgh He is on current form, I do like Summers but really too replace the top rider in the league? Summers only scored one point here for Redcar last year from No1 or something like that. I'd be suprised if Stead rides tonight
  7. Hopefully its a nice night, plan on bringing my deck chair, hopefully I'll get a tan. I'll be paying attention to the track before I nod off around 1855. If we win, I can see us climbing up the ladder at a vast rate of knots
  8. Well given how many folks expertise we have available to us. Results are what im looking at aside from off track work which has been fantastic. We are a mid table team maybe we expect too much as supporters but results coupled with genuine regulars walking away plus the prices being dropped, should we have not sorted the team first before the infastructure?. In a couple of seasons there will be more board members at berwick than home fans in the ducket
  9. Are we actually being run by people who know what they are doing from a speedway point of view?
  10. well its not his points scoring ability going on current form. I think Berwick did a great job purchasing the suits
  11. Too many excuses, there's no injuries at the moment too blame so we will blame the track, Berwick is still as one dimensional as it was 2,4, 6 years ago it hasn't changed and nor would Unibax Torun using it as there home track bring much better racing either. We can't change the track and to be honest its one of the things that make Berwick unique. The management wont change but what can change is how we prepare conditions too suit the majority of OUR riders and the personnel who wear our colors. I wont speculate to accumlate on that one, we have a team manager who I am sure is monitering the situation with the finest detail. What worries me is the team is rather shapeless at the moment. We have no head figure who I can say will score 12 points next meeting. Bellego was excellent tonight but could easily score 3 in his next meeting home and away. Nicki Barrett hes a good signing not convinced Berwick is his kinda track. It's gonna take a big personality and extra adrenaline to pull the Bandits out of there current rut. Do we have a motivational character in our pit lane or somebody in the promotion who will get amongst it. We are currently sandwhiched between two successful sides, they are no better than us, tracks poor, riders about the same, what's different? have a think....... Final thought Berwick fans bemoaned about the fact we didnt re-sign Micky D. Well Edinburgh let him go and look at them now and still made the Top without Cookie for the last 6 8 weeks of the season. Its a winning mentality, I hope we find that someday
  12. They beat us at Ashfield lol Horrendous team, as nice as the stadium might become it wont much with the current 7 as a team who race there
  13. Hardly ideal though still being in April, why are we not looking at every match like a Cup Final, tonight is one I think we will win To be honest I can't answer that question because Ricky might be back next meeting. But with 8.84 we have plenty scope to choose good guests, whether we choose good guests pre meeting is another issue.
  14. Our season might be over by then, lose tonight and we are out of 2 competitions already
  15. Wearing the Bandits No1 race-jacket is probably one of the hardest yet coveted titles in the Sport Sucess in the posistion holds eternal glory i.e Kelvin Tatum, Richard Knight and in more recent times Adrian Rymel, , sets you apart from the other men. One day the Bandits will be great champions of the world
