Well... 1) No...Only riders under 6 and 7 [14 and 15 must ride once at least - in Heat 1, which begins the match. heat 1 is U-21`s one] 2) 10 3) Yes 4) Yes - up to 5 rides [4 resrves and once in nominated heat [14 or 15]] or up to 6 rides [4 reserves, 1 as TS and 1 in nominated heat], or 7 rides [4 reserves, 1 TS, 1 RR and 1 nominated heat] 5) in Polish league there are 2 nominates heats - look on match table below: Extraleague: I liga: Maaron - in heat 14 - there can be nominate any rider except 2 with the highest score. If there is 3 riders with the highest score, then team manager decide which 2 riders will ride in heat 15 and which in heat 14

Let me explain you some rules of Polish Speedway In match in team there are 8 riders (numbers 9-16 for home team, and 1-8 for away). Riders under numbers 6, 7 and 8 (or 14, 15 and 16) must be U21, two of them must be pole. The U21 rider can be replaced only by U21 rider. There are also jokers, tactical substitutions and rider replacements. There are aggregate points - Jokers are when team is 10 points behind, tactical substitutes are when team is 6 pts behind [any rider of 1-8 and 9-16 can be used as TS once, bur tactical substitution can be used by team manager any time when team is 6 points behind - even 4 or 5 during meeeting]. rider number 7 [15] has 2 rides programmed, but he can be used as reserve for another programmed rider 1-6 [9-14] any time in the match, but he can not be used more than 5 rides [or 6 rides when he was used as TS or 7 rides when he was used as TS and RR]. Number 7 and 8 [15 and 16] are reserved riders all the time. Number 8 [16] can be used in the same way like no 7 [15], but #8 [16] is not programmed rider. If one of programmed riders will touch the tapes when green light is on, then referee must exclude him from heat, but excluded rider is replaced by rider wearing #7 or #8 [15 or 16 for home team]. I Polish leagues there is no points limit. team can use any rider in their line uo, but in Extraleague [and in I and II liga as well I think] must have at least 2 riders with Polish licence in match`s line-up. Since 2009 there must be at least 3 riders with Polish licence in match`s line-up. Managers can use only 2 Grand Prix riders in match`s line up. If there are 2 or 3 non Polish licence U-21`s in team`s line-up, there can be only one used under 6,7 or 8 [14,15 or 16]positions during the match.

I must say sorry for British fans. Unfortunetely Chris Harris will not compete in SLovenian GP. He willbe replaced by Polish rider Michal Szmyd, known as "Lawrence"

I recommend Zielona Gora v Gorzow and Leszno V Czestochowa :-) Wroclaw v Torun it was nice meeting as well as for Wroclaw standards.

You`re having trouble understanding Polish? Exactly...The Real Derby match are Bydgoszcz v Torun, and the most fantastic atmosphere is when Polonia wins at Torun :-) Rico - You remember 17.06.2006 and last Polonia`s win @ Teutonic city [that doesn`t exists on any maps - Mateusz will explain what I mean :-)] you were watching this match on DVD... BTW - Teutonics are being built new speedway stadium [about 15 000 sitting places]. If Polonia will get its promotoion to Extraleague, I wish to any Bydgoszcz fan that ride first match of 2009 season should be staged @ Torun. You know - new season, new stadium, new win for Torun...And then Polonia wins at new teutonic stadium and all Torun fans are disapointed and angry :-) TThe new speedway stadium is baptisted by Bydgoszcz team and fans

What can I say... big thanks for all your support, and watching Polish soeedway and Polonia Bydgoszcz matches... :-) It is a shame that Polsat Sport brings BEL matches, broadcasted by Sky Sports, and they [Polsat] didn`t sell any Polish matches to SS, to make British fans compare those two leagues, although Polsat shows 1 liga... I would like someday that any British fan could watch Polish Extraleague or 1 liga on his TV... When I started to exchange DVD`s of BEL for Polish league it was and it is still amazing for me to see BEL on my screen..I got a lot of meetings, I think the best ones I have it is Poole Pirates - Eastbourne Eagles [46-44] - 30.08.2000. And amazing BEL final of 2006 - Reading - Peterborough...of course there was more fantastic actions in past years [finals 2005, 2004? - I haven`t seen it, but I think there were geat meetings], so I am glad that You enjoy Polonia matches on this website - thank you... What a match it was...there was everything - battles, overtakes, dramatic heats, and fantastic performance of Daniel Nermark...Yesterday [saturday] he scored 13+1 at Derwent Park, and today he scored 13 [3,3,1,3,3] at Ostrow... Fantastic meeting televised by Polsat Sport. 1st heat Bydgoszcz U-21s won 5-1. Afre Heat 3 there was 9-9 sue to fantastic ride from Daniel Nermark and Jonas Kylmakorpi. In heat 4 AJ finished in front of "Bomber" but Emil sajfutdinow and Maciej Piaszczynski of Ostrow didn`t finished it due to...fells..Polonia took a lead by 1 point 12-11. Then, next 3 heats there was 3-3`s and in Heat 8 Bydgoszcz duo chased Chris Harris for almost 4 laps, but Bomber got an engine failure in last 2 bends of this heat and Bydgoszcz won 5-1 extended their lead up to 5 points. Heats 10 and 12 Ostrow stiked back 4-2 and 5-1 and they took a lead 36-35. Heat 13 [british/Swedish] was won 5-1 by Bydgoszcz dua and the score before nominated heats was 40-37 for Bydgoszcz... In heat 14 Lukas Dryml and Bomber Harris managed to get another 5-1 for Ostrow. Emil chades them well, and almost passed Harris in the ens of lap 3, but he got a spin and Ostrow duo took another double... There was 42-41 and the last heat decider 12 000 fans were standing all the time...There was no sitting people on the stadium. Swedish/Finnish pair gated well, and only AJ tried to pass Daniel Nermark,but his fellow Swede was magnificent today and has brought the win for Ostrow. Joonas Kylmakorpi was 3rd and Ostrow won this match 46-43... One of the most dramatic matches I`ve ever seen. Hello :-) Really fantastic meeting - Heat 8th was superb...Emil first out of bend 2, then Balinski and Smolinski passed Russiun in the end of lap one, Emil has satred to chase Balinski and Jonas Davidsson wanted to get a Smlinski`s position. Jonas did it and Emil did the same on the finish line...superb It was my first time to make commentary almost live...a bit nervous I was, bu I hope it will be better next time... And next time will be after every round. On this site [ www.itv24.com.pl ] there you will be able to watch all Polonia matches of 2008 season. It will be online on Monday or Tuesday after each round. Yes - great realisation, but please let Nigel and Kevin take Polish comentators to Speedway Commentary school, because their [Polish commentators] knowledge about British speedway looks like comedy, especially calling rider`s names... Last season watching BEL on Polsat Sport alongside Mama`s in his house we got a lot of laugh...
