As usual in Poland - and it was an ordinary league match I predict that Torun`s stadium will be overcrowded as well - about 20 000 fans for sure - Those who owns Polsat Sport can be ready for the best actions there -

Well - last 2 years Leszno took 3 of 4 match points at Torun`s track... In 2005 they have won 49-41 [in the same time when Polonia took two 5-1`s in heats 14 and 15 at Czestochowa during victorious match 46-44], and last year Leigh Adams and Damian Balinski levelled the score up to 45-45 in the last heat decider. This year those two teams met each other in opening round on April 9th at Torun and there was The host`s 49-44 win...so after Leszno`s 49-41 win tonight, next week`s re-match looks very exciting... Key to shortcuts : - d4,3,2,1 - Engine failure on 4th,3rd,2nd,1st position - u4,3,2,1 - fell on 4th,3rd,2nd,1st position - w/su - excluded for causing the crash - u/w - fell - excluded - zastepstwo zawodnika = rider replacement - t - excluded for touching the tapes BTW - does the history likes repeat itself?? We`ll see on October 7th 2007... In 1996 Final, Czestochowa faced....Torun. The Lions have won 1st match 50-40, and all of Torun managments were pretty sure to take a higher win in re-match at home...but they were wrong. Czestochowa riders were very concentrated and they took an 8 point lead in early stages [22-14] Torun used tactical substitutes butthey couldn`t get enough advantage over the Lions who secured Polish champs title after Heat 12 [there was 38-34]. In this day`s official programme, on the back cover there was a picture of Torun`s team with the note below: "This is the picture of Polish vice*-champions Team of 1996 * - delete unwanted" So, I had to delete the "vice-" note Torun was to much sure to win the duble-header final, and I think that it was enough lesson to ride until the 15 heat finishes -
Bydgoczsz Grand Prix 2008
Lawrence replied to pedropete's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Bydgoszcz will stage SGP for 3 mext years FOR SURE 2008,2009,2010 -> I witnessed this moment alongside Mama. You can finad pics that I have taken Here One of conditions is to enlarge Polonia stadium up to 25 000 sitting places [now Polonia stadium could seat 17 800 places, but it was possible to seat 20 000 fans but they used stairs, trees, banners over the stadium]. Polonia managment have 3 years to enlarge the stadium. Firstly it will be backstraight stands - up to 15 000 sitting places and then they will rebuilt and move to the track both corners. -

After 10 heats Atlas leads at Torun 31-29. Fantastic match so far, 4 laps battling in almost all Heats...It would bi nice for Wroclaw keep that result till the end of match. If Wroclaw will win 45-44 then they will go through to the Grand FInal -
1. T. Gollob 2. Nicki P. 3. J. Crump 4. W. Jagus/J.Hampel ;p

Another fantastic match on PS [as usually in this year] - Seats are sold-out already ...Over 12 000 fans will watch it on the stadium - if Zielona Gora`s stands could accomodate 20 000 fans, it would be overcrowded as well... Bydgoszcz fans will be very visible The person who owns Polsat Sport will be surely satisfied watching this meeting Add some facts to Mama`s post - Pepe sent to Extraliga Authorities a medical leave that made him incapable to ride in Vojens due to illness - BTW - it is a strange 1 day ill...no comment -

World U-21 Final - Ostrow, Poland
Lawrence replied to Rico's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It was Makao Speedway Game - Polish card game [the rules are a bit complicated for newcomers to understand]. The main rule is - Person that finishes 1st gets 3pts, 2nd - 2pts, 3rd - 1point and 0 points for finishing last - as it is in speedway. Also we use TR and we have Time Keeper First match PBNF T-shirt Team [Kabat/Krzysiek] won 51-42 with track record 50,88 and 2nd match finished 49-42 for my team [Lawrence/Waldek], but the aggregate bonus point faded away -

I`ve heard that Zielona Gora`s president wants to sell their tractor - the selling time finishes just after the match - Having Lamborghini tractor in 1 liga is not required I predict "the spring score" - 46-43 for Polonia... -

I have got a Workington badge on my shirt that I was wearing it under PBNF t-shirt, but I didn`t present it as we know the world is so small, so If I would know that you`re from Workington, we could get a little conversation about speedway at Derwent Park... I am sending speedway souvenires to my mate from Workington, his name is Kevin Haney [propably KevH on this forum], so that`s why I am surprised that you`re from Workington -
I was very pleased to meet you all Fantastic weekend with a lot of BSF friends I`m still impressed See You soon

Polish Ekstraliga 2nd September
Lawrence replied to Mateusz's topic in International World of Speedway
One word comes to my head after yesterday`s defeat - kurwa mac.... will write more later... here you have pics from Sunday`s match :-( http://www.zuzel.bydgoszcz.gra.pl/index.php?strona=9 After 1st leg of semis Torun is the only one team unbeaten at home... Looks like Great Extraleague Final will stage at Torun. Leszno will be their rival I think... Sportowe fakty have failed to give a correct points of AJ and Jonas, and to ZG riders It should be - AJ - 8 - 3,2,1,0,2 Jonas Davidsson - 6 - 2,1,0,3,ef [4th] - for Bydgoszcz... and... N.K.I - x,0,2,2,2,3,3 - 12 Pepe - 3,2,3,3,2,2 - 15 - for Mice -
Polish Ekstraliga 2nd September
Lawrence replied to Mateusz's topic in International World of Speedway
As Mateusz said - it will be togh meeting. Especially 1st legs are always tougher than 2nd ones, where your team knows how many points has to collect to go through. Wroclaw got through to semis as a "very" lucky looser, after not coming to Torun in regular season [bTW - full and optimal line-up was not possible for Wroclaw to get this day]. IMO both semis are exciting. As Lezaw said: Rzeszow and Leszno are very equal teams, and I predict 8 to 10 point win for each sides at home. The key will be smart tactic made from their managers. if there will be a draw in aggregate, Leszno will go through, and I think they meet Wroclaw [another "Holy War"] in Big Final. Why Wroclaw? Wroclaw has specific track, prepared very dirty sometimes by "track master" Marek Cieslak. torun defeated in 2nd round at Wroclaw 35-58, but semis are much diferent matches and Torun can be very focused. I predict about 52-39 on Sunday. Re-match at Torun will show Torun`s strength at home and realistic strength Wroclaw in away meetings. Well - Polsat Sport will show Rzeszow-Leszno on Sunday Sept 2nd, and Torun vs Wroclaw on Sept 16th. If Leszno will go through to the Final and torun will be ruled uot of it - fans will not see Final match on TV, because Unia Leszno didn`t agree to show their matches live :/ -
Well, seriously I don`t see Jagus in The Big Final. He is able to reach semifinal and if he would get through it would be great 4 him and for Polish fans. DOn`t forget about Jarek Hampel and Rune Holta. Holta took his first POlish Champion title in 2003 with maximum, and he was SGP finalist in 2004. I think all Poles are able to rech semis [regular riders], and 2 of them should reach the big final. But SGP is hard and I predict Gollob, Nicki, Leigh and someone of quartet Jarek Hampel, Wieslaw Jagus, Jason Crump and AJ. AJ also knows Bydgoszcz track well, and he will prove it in a front of home fans. Looks that it will be a fantastic night as usually in Bydgoszcz

And Adams with 16 pts on 5th position, while Nicki finishes 16th with 1 point [someone has to beat Antonio]

Bydgoszcz track will be prepared as it is for league matches or even better only if Ole Olsen will keep himself away of the track...
