Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16
chris4gillian replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I did say ignore him Gem...now you know why for the second time! Some things will never change...why oh why do you bother? Still posting nonsense after nonsense. Ho hum. That comment made me out loud, quality. -
Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16

100% agree Tripple P This should (on paper) be a pretty convincing win, however us (true) Poole supporters know that our team don't always fire from the off so the result maybe a little closer than some of the non-Poole supporters are posting! Ignore him Gem, he never engages his brain before posting -
Holder To Comeback Stronger?

Spot on. -
Including Bomber at most GP's. However he seems to turn up at the SWC. If fit the team IMO will be 4 of Woofy (nailed on), Bomber (another certainty) and two of Scotty, Lambert and Cookie. If it wasn't being held at the National Stadium I'd go with Scotty and Lambert, but I think Cookie may nick it if performing well on his home track...and this could be at the expense of Scotty not Lambert. I reckon Rosco will go with form at the time rather than just the 'bigger' names Or will he just opt for youth and future building over experience? As someone else says, it's good to be talking about options for us for the first time in a few years Oh and Scotty has fully explained his reasoning in making himself available “For me it’s not just about trying to achieve a gold medal right now, although that would be lovely to do, and this season is our best chance for a number of years – we know how good we are on home soil, even though it’s a brand-new track which might take away some of the advantage. “But it’s also about the future. I’m pleased with what they’re trying to do and the people who they have on board, and I feel the future looks much more positive". I guess that could be interpreted as 'a good chance to end on a high' but for me it's more 'out with the old, in with the new and I'm happy to be part of it once again'.

And of course he has personally told you that

Not true, speedway is exactly the same...huge crowds and followings in the 70's and early 80's so can be reawakened just like those sports were. I was born in the early 70's and watched speedway on Saturday's with my father on World of Sport (or was it Grandstand?) when growing up. A lot of my classmates did the same, but a very high percentage of todays children have never heard of speedway. In those days a lot of folk knew a lot more about speedway than folk do today but that can change. I have been going to Poole speedway for as long as I can remember and have always stood in exactly the same spot with my father as it's the same spot he used to stand with his father - and that's something I'm immensely proud of. Crowds at Poole have significantly fluctuated all the years I have been attending and there doesn't appear to be a stand out reason why. There is absolutely no reason why speedway cannot return to being what it once was as (in my opinion) it's the most exciting motor spot in the world. It just needs the right person or persons with the right vision who are prepared to play the long game. It won't happen overnight or even in a few years, but it certainly can! Why can't Barry Hearn (with his proven track record) be that person?

Lakeside Speedway - Smoke & Mirrors?

Again I agree -
Lakeside Speedway - Smoke & Mirrors?

Not true, you attack anyone and everyone who dares to disagree with the (more often than not) nonsense you post. Your Matt F butt kissing (on here and on our own forum) is embarrassing. The Poole forum itself has been on the verge of closure more than once and is it a coincidence that you're always at the centre of things when these threats by the webmaster are made? You then disappear for a few days to let the dust settle and then you reappear like a bad smell and it starts all over again. Lisa is 100% correct, but she's too polite to say things directly unlike myself. -
Open Season On Nicki

Are you sure about Magic in that scenario marky? He's no dirty rider. -
Nice post Phil and I agree 100%. See my own post a few days ago which said similar regarding the top riders.

Well I for one would be willing to fork out £20 - £25 a meeting if every EL team consisted of the so called 'stars' from 1 - 5 that are now ignoring the UK. I'd rather see heat after heat of say N Pedersen/Hancock/Woffinden/Holder than what we have now and if that costs me £20 - £25 then so be it.

But that's to celebrate the life of a talented and well respected singer/songwriter/producer and actor...not the version we have on here

You jest I assume

He won't respond to posts written well in the Queen's English as that's a foreign language to him

My first criticism by ONE person.....not countless criticisms from countless persons unlike you know who. Not quite the same is it. Oh and if he posted opinions rather than guff then at least that would be a step in the right direction. I'll leave things there on this topic. UP THE PIRATES!

Thank you for your reply Skids, however no matter how you dress it up you're still defending him. The difference is everybody else posts sensible comments which respond to what's being asked, he just says the same old rubbish followed by

Nail and head on every forum he posts on, not just Poole's. If anyone posts anything negative about Poole, they are anti Poole and a clown. If anyone posts anything negative about Matt Ford or Middlo, they are anti Poole and a clown. If anyone posts anything which he doesn't agree with, they are anti Poole and a clown. Starman has single handedly done more damage to Poole Speedway on many forums than any other poster, something which you say yourself shouldn't be tolerated but yet you appear to be defending him. On top of the above he gets in to Poole FREE OF CHARGE and abuses this privilege on forums daily, but you appear to be defending him. He is not the cause of all problems, however both the BSF and the Poole Forum would be far more fruitful without him. I look forward to your counter argument

You Shouldn't Call People Retards. It's Offensive
chris4gillian replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It appears not and I have no idea why -
My cap is a bit larger than Starman's as my grey matter is a touch more generous
