  1. So true and the supporters were ante Simon and Ulrich at the beginning of the season. These two have been loyal to the Panthers throughout the years and so pleased for them. Well done Panthers.
  2. No that is not the way he should react. Prove that it is a bad day at the office and I will be the first to come on here and apologise.
  3. Sadly 10 points is not enough to take to Glasgow after being 14 points up after heat 11. Holder was a disgrace tonight as even on a bad night should score more than 3. More worrying is that I think it may be the end of speedway for Peterborough. Well done to Simon who rode his heart out tonight and would have scored more but for losing his shoe in one race.Bomber excellent as always.
  4. Really looking forward to this meeting. I hope there is a good crowd. Panthers fans should forget about the politics today and support the team. This could be our last meeting at home this evening and it is a long time fill March. We do not know what the future holds either so if you are a real speedway fan then make the effort today. If we ever lose speedway here then we will never get it back. My prediction is Panthers 50 Tigers 40.
  5. It was announced with 3 meetings to go that there would be a discount if you went to all 3 so would imagine quite a few did as I have.
  6. After last night when Ty Proctor was excluded for going on the centre green near the tapes I think this rule should be reversed but only a small area available to use. We lost about 10 minutes yesterday because of it because Ty went up to the referees box and then went off 15 metres.
  7. we did have 6 heats of 3-3 coming second and third. With an 18 point lead we had to make sure of no lasts. Taking into account that Worrell only scored 4 points as well, then I think job done. Onwards and upwards.
  8. Well done Panthers. Poor guest in Worrell but full marks to Tom Bacon who has improved immensely over the year.
  9. It was a shame about the rain as there was some good racing. 11 heats done in an hour but the right decision to abandon it as the rain was settling on the 1st/2nd bend and became tricky.Sitting in the stand you do not realise just how hard the rain is. Scott a good guest and pleased to see Simon score some points.
  10. Torun were relegated today so perhaps they will not use Jack and he will now be available for our two Sunday fixtures. That may have been part of the agreement.
  11. If Ben rides like he did yesterday at Peterborough he will score well.
  12. Emil Grondal was at Peterborough yesterday and said he cannot wait to get racing in England again. Maybe destined for Scunthorpe.
  13. Funny sort of meeting really. It was all over by about 6 heats due to a 5-0,5-1,5-1 start. Ben Barker rode brilliantly for Redcar but sadly not much to back him up. I do not think Varsity or Tobias were race fit.Rory a good guest and nice to see Simon get a couple of race wins. Tom Bacon continues to improve as well. 3 points in the bag. Our play off hopes rest with the northern weekend in the middle of August.
  14. and to stop the said rider that is injured from guesting for anyone else for 7 days.
  15. Looking forward to this one and expect it to be close.I will go for a 47-43 win to the Panthers. We may get a few Kings Lynn fans tonight to see some proper speedway.
  16. I have to admit that I was an elite league snob and it took me a long time to adapt to being in the second tier of racing. After last nights debacle, I am pleased to see the errors of my way. I have thoroughly enjoyed the racing we have seen at the showground. As for Kings Lynn, it is a shame to see this happening. I was a Lynn supporter in the sixties and seventies and to see this makes me very sad. No winner last night and the only loser is speedway.
  17. [quote name="Paulco" post="2989119" timestamp="149 It's , of course , very disappointing that any scheduled rider is missing , but it happens and there's enough good riders in the Peterborough side tonight to make it a test for us and make it an entertaining encounter . With Jack Holder probably taking 6 rides, you should get plenty of entertainment. He has been brilliant to watch this year.
  18. Cracking meeting and Jack Holder worth the admission fee on his own. Well done to Tom Bacon as well, improves every week.
  19. Tom broke the tapes in two of his rides and had to to off 15m so not a fair reflection last night.
  20. Well done Belle Vue on a solid performance. The track was awful, so bumpy. Good performance from Jack Holder and pleased he came away with no injuries on that track.
  21. Pleased with the teams performance today with the exception of Richard Hall. I think that was the first time this season that as have had a 5-1 in heat 1.Tom Bacon has improved a lot and gets to the 2nd bend in a good position but has to learn to ride a wider line. Disappointed with Richard Lawson but on checking last year, he only got 4 points from 5 rides. He is still a good rider just not at the Showground. We now have to win next week against Ipswich to prove to the fans that we are not that bad a team.
