  1. Didn't he also turndown the chance to ride in the opening 'Test Match' at Ipswich?
  2. Hi Rob, Speedway from The Sun on Saturday by Russell Lanning. Ben Barker has denied provoking the "violent behaviour" that had fellow GB star Craig Cook chucked out of a meeting. Edinburgh No.1 Cookie threw a punch at Ipswich's Barker in the pits after they clashed on Thursday. Barker said "he passed me fair and square in the opening race. He claims I barged past him on the way back to the pits but I didn't." Cook said "I'd like to make an unreserved apology. I am not the sort of person who looks for conflict." Poole have signed double World Champion Greg Hancock.
  3. Thought it had already been billed as Premier Test series with Barker, Cook, Doyle & Proctor listed on the original version of the advertising poster but the website has another version with riders names missing! http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/home
  4. Chris was studio guest on this morning's Stephen Foster BBC Radio Suffolk programme, interesting listening, talking about his career, the witches, fen tigers and the future for speedway. Listen again at www.bbc.co.uk/radiosuffolk/programmes/schedules/2013/05/06
  5. We spoke to Peter Simmons after the announcement and he said the decision to call the meeting was made by the Ref (mick bates I think) after consulting with Leigh Lanham & David Howe.
  6. well it has gone very quiet on these 7-12 play-off since it was annouced at the begining of the year but according to todays BSPA website looks like they are still going ahead. RYE House youngster Jason Garrity is planning a behind-closed-doors practice on Friday as he bids to make a quick return to racing. Garrity is hopeful of overcoming a painful hand injury and if practice is successful he will return for the club’s National League team the following evening. Promoter Len Silver said: “I am very hopeful of a successful test. It would also mean that he would be able to take his place in the Rockets’ team for the vital league match against Edinburgh the following week - an absolute MUST WIN event if we are to gain a place in the final Trophy series by not finishing bottom of the league.” Meanwhile Rockets’ No.1 Charlie Gjedde has reported recent improvement following his recent lay-off with concussion, and he could yet also return for the clash with the Monarchs. http://www.speedwayg...hp?extend.17737

  10. Wonder if any of these will be at Somerset friday night? I know Kyle will probably miss it because of his injury now, but maybe Witches could pull of an aggregate victory depending on Somerset guests!
  11. maybe we can find a buyer for Jarek, Robert, David, Marcin, Zibi, Tobi etc etc
  12. I think you can rule Morten out of the Esbjerg meeting.
  13. Keep up to date with all the latest Cycle Speedway news at http://www.spokesman-online.co.uk/index.html
  14. Len put in the Rye programme on Sat that Lanham is only a temporary signing and Nelson would be back once everything sorted, he`s also agreed that if a permanent PL place was offered to Lanham he would release him straight away.
  15. My step son rides for Great Blakenham - your best bet is to just go along one evening and have a chat with them, most clubs have club bikes you could use before commiting to buying your own bike - make sure you have a cycle helmet, gloves and long sleeve top and trousers tho.
  16. Rohan's Witch logo is wrong from what i can see - black where should be white and white where should be black.
  17. Think you may have the wrong link there Lovey, fairly sure you mean this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-17182211
  18. Should find out now, 1 meeting on a Wed night & 1 on a Friday night (plus the usual Bank Holiday Monday & Friday afternoon meetings.)
  19. i fear we already have our No.1 and have gone for the strength in depth route. Can only hope Morten or Matt are ready to push on to true heat leader status otherwise away succeess could be hard to come by. (although should be very hard to beat at Foxhall)
  20. I had also come up with that team Lovey, was hopeing that BSPA have got their rounding up/down wrong and either Kozza or Matt (or any of the others) were shown 0.01 too high, but cant see it.
