  1. Well done to Ipswich, you deserve to win something this season. Think the Howarth injury was the final straw for us
  2. Couldn't agree more, cant understand the knockers, hopefully both teams will still be here next season
  3. he was limping in the bar after, banged his left knee I would rather have him fit for Thursday / Friday than tonight Just seen on BSPA web site that Kyle needs a weeks rest, so could miss Thursday / Friday as well
  4. Yet these are the people that are ignored, it is not their fault they are staying away it is the promoters fault, give a credible sport to support and some might come back, however some are lost forever not the supporters fault but the promoters for the mess they have got speedway into
  5. So Sheffield will be having RR for an injured rider while Leicester run it for a perfectly fit rider who wont come over for meeting, makes sense in Speedway I suppose
  6. If its a neutral track the support would be very poor. I am sure when I started going in 1968 and for a couple of years after it was the luck of the draw. don't know when it became home and away
  7. Doesnt have to be a week, it can be a month
  8. Definitely said at Ipswich on Saturday night that the first leg at Sheffield on the 9th, 2nd leg at Leicester on the 11th
  9. on Saturday night is was said that it is the 9th at home, 11th at Leicester
  10. On Saturday night it was said that the first leg at Sheffield will be on the 9th with the second leg at Leicester on the 11th
  11. Dont know where you were but he fell in front of us, and the fence wasn't touched at all, during or after the fall
  12. bates struggles an 1 & 2 in his first ride, but after that he worked it out, didnt see much of track problem, just individual riders problems
  13. based on last season and seeing him a few times at Sheffield this season and on TV, perhaps they were the only times this season he has done that, must have been unlucky when I have seen him, If I am wrong then so be it
  14. Agree with this, greaves usually panics when riders go under him, he did it all last season at Sheffield, and again Thursday night when Kurtz went under him in heat six and he moved right out which caused Graj to hurt himself trying to avoid him. and greaves went no where near the fence he fell off in the middle of the straight with plenty of room to manoeuvre out of Scotts way. and about the booing, it started before heat 1 so it wasn't because of the greaves incident, it was a few Ipswich fans who didn't want him to accept a booking against them, how many fans would have turned down a pay day, or turn down the opportunity to ride in such a meeting
  15. The other thing about Bewley everyone seems to be missing is that it made Glasgow stronger tonight. they had a capable replacement in Campton (especially as the Glasgow fans seem to think Bewley isn't trying for them) and it allowed Summer to take one of the RR rides instead of a reserve. Perhaps it wasn't BVs idea for him to miss this meeting, or is there evidence that it was
  16. Looks like having Campton means Summers can now have RR ride, wonder whos idea it was for Bewley to be injured?
  17. Looks like Bewley has decided he has a better chance of getting to a play off final with Belle Vue
  18. Hopefully you have too long a tail tonight, Sheffield need to just to go for 3-3s pack the minor places
  19. If we get through the first leg is at Sheffield on Thursday, if we don't it will be Redcar
  20. Simple solution is just to use the cup dates for the play off final, if we get through, as the teams for the other semi final wont be sorted out this season anyway
  21. this match needs changing to be the first leg of the playoffs if we qualify
  22. At least it gives time for the rounds to be completed, and i missed where it was supposed to be a start of the season competition, sorry
  23. think Sheffield have had Josh Auty, Joe Screen, Scott Smith & Max Clegg
