  1. From a selfish point of view they don't for me
  2. Look at Sheffields team in 1973, I think our lowest average rider was about 6.75 and everyone in that team could beat anybody, no reserves there just to make up the team
  3. So Barker was not fit Monday but is tomorrow, and Lambert was fit enough for five rides on Monday but not fit tomorrow that virus is getting around a bit
  4. Going to be like an old end of season challenge match with two league select select teams riding against each other Thinking about it I suppose that's been quite a lot of matches this season
  5. Yes apparently injured for two weeks a week ago but this injury apparently cleared up in a week so he could earn a lot more money in Poland than he could have earned last Monday Obviously the leg injury was caused by his celebrations after the meeting last Sunday In a nothing meeting but missing the meeting that actually meant something I would not want him riding for my team again, and certainly would not be making excuses for him
  6. and you are happy about the two week mystery injury clearing up in a week so he can earn a lot of money in Poland?
  7. Time really flies at the moment, one week for the price of two He should be banned tomorrow for missing Mondays match, cant believe any Newcastle fan would want him to ride after costing you the cup match
  8. Well done to Ipswich, you deserve to win something this season. Think the Howarth injury was the final straw for us
  9. Couldn't agree more, cant understand the knockers, hopefully both teams will still be here next season
  10. he was limping in the bar after, banged his left knee I would rather have him fit for Thursday / Friday than tonight Just seen on BSPA web site that Kyle needs a weeks rest, so could miss Thursday / Friday as well
  11. Yet these are the people that are ignored, it is not their fault they are staying away it is the promoters fault, give a credible sport to support and some might come back, however some are lost forever not the supporters fault but the promoters for the mess they have got speedway into
  12. So Sheffield will be having RR for an injured rider while Leicester run it for a perfectly fit rider who wont come over for meeting, makes sense in Speedway I suppose
  13. If its a neutral track the support would be very poor. I am sure when I started going in 1968 and for a couple of years after it was the luck of the draw. don't know when it became home and away
  14. Doesnt have to be a week, it can be a month
  15. Definitely said at Ipswich on Saturday night that the first leg at Sheffield on the 9th, 2nd leg at Leicester on the 11th
  16. on Saturday night is was said that it is the 9th at home, 11th at Leicester
  17. On Saturday night it was said that the first leg at Sheffield will be on the 9th with the second leg at Leicester on the 11th
  18. Dont know where you were but he fell in front of us, and the fence wasn't touched at all, during or after the fall
  19. bates struggles an 1 & 2 in his first ride, but after that he worked it out, didnt see much of track problem, just individual riders problems
  20. based on last season and seeing him a few times at Sheffield this season and on TV, perhaps they were the only times this season he has done that, must have been unlucky when I have seen him, If I am wrong then so be it
  21. Agree with this, greaves usually panics when riders go under him, he did it all last season at Sheffield, and again Thursday night when Kurtz went under him in heat six and he moved right out which caused Graj to hurt himself trying to avoid him. and greaves went no where near the fence he fell off in the middle of the straight with plenty of room to manoeuvre out of Scotts way. and about the booing, it started before heat 1 so it wasn't because of the greaves incident, it was a few Ipswich fans who didn't want him to accept a booking against them, how many fans would have turned down a pay day, or turn down the opportunity to ride in such a meeting
