Taking The Good Luck With Both Hands!
DanTheMan replied to Trees's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yep, he took his good luck with both hands and swiftly manouvered it away from his competitors (he deserved some after last year). some entertaining races, some strange decisions by the ref (again), Simon showed he can mix it with the best on the biggest stage, but needs a bit more yet. -
Trick At The Millenium Stadium
DanTheMan replied to philcrumpisgod's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
does anybody else feel that maybe tony is thinking about getting through the series unscathed, therefore isn't giving it as much as he normally does. He just doesn't look right when you see his interviews -
Where Is The Swc Race Off And Final?
DanTheMan replied to Trees's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i totally agree, no offence to reading, but their stadium isn't the wisest choice bsi has ever made, but we all know why it's been chosen of course. Now i've been behind most decisions of bsi's so far as i think they're doing a great job, but this one has baffled me -
Cardiff Or Wembley

Lee Richardson

havvy is experienced in speedway, and can certainly help on that side of things, but he's not a psychologist -

this jawa and gm thing still puzzles me, i honestly don't think there's much of a difference in their speed performance, even jason said he doesn't think his set up is any faster than last years jawas. leigh adams looks plenty fast enough on his jawas. As for scott and lee, well last night was dissapointing for both of them, lee's year so far has been really bad, but we all know he can suddenly pull off a great meeting and get to a final, he just needs to change something (his head or his bikes). As for scott, well he's started off ok, with solid semi final places, when to be fair, he's looked underpowered compared to last year, plus his heads still not right, he needs help in the mind games -
Jason Crump And The World Championship
DanTheMan replied to Ron Butler's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i'd agree with that, i've only seem him racing in the flesh once so far this year, but he looked unstoppable. His machinery is always top class, his head seems to be in the right place nowadays, so he really is going to take some stopping. -
Yeah, the track was a disgrace again, what is that man thinking, every year you hear riders complain that it's totally different from practice, so whats the point in having a practice for goodness sake (being polite here). A few good races late on livened up an otherwise dull meeting. Well done crumpy, he maximised on the downfall of his competitors

Slovenian Gp
DanTheMan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
what a great start to the series, fantastic racing tonight. I feel for leigh adams, unlucky isn't the word, but you have to hand it to jason crump, he made the most of his good luck and punished tony with a close hard fought second place. well done to nicki too, i knew he was flying this year, but i still didn't expect him to win tonight. i'd also agree that scotts bikes looked a little slow tonight -
Todays The Day!
DanTheMan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well as a brit, im cheering for our guys, but i just want to see some good racing really, jason is going great guns this year as usual, so i reckon it will come down to trick and jc again, im not going to make a fool of myself and say who will win though -

Saturday Uk Terrestrial Tv Speedway Round Up
DanTheMan replied to witchnut's topic in 'The Way Ahead'
sounds good, i'll be watching, and i think we should all let them know how much we enjoy it too, thats if we do enjoy it, which im sure we will -
i have a peter collins book somewhere, will find it out later and have a read up on it all, but in it, he mentions how somebody had put sugar in his fuel tank, which caused his bike to breakdown. he only found out when he sent a fuel sample away to be tested

a big fat no, its stupid that a meeting can turn after one race

Hans Andersen Statement
DanTheMan replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
dont be daft, there would be week long meeting discussing what colour bikes the riders are allowed to use, and then a month long meeting discussing all their family issues, where they're going on holiday, who's done what in the soaps etc joke by the way *dan legs it quick and hides in a bomb shelter* -

Zagar To The Gp 2006!
DanTheMan replied to DavidH's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
im a massive fan of the gp, i think its going to do good for our sport. not sure on the decision of selecting 8 riders, i can see why they have done it this way, like all over forms of motor sport do. but i do kind of agree there should be a qualification system. i did read that they're thinking about having some sort of qualification system next year -
i have to say, alot of the riders seem to go with the same colour schemes, but this year, tomasz gollob has stood out like he always does, his green and blue always looks good together. scott nicholls, with his bright green alan ham dots looked good, especially with his matching black hubs on his bike. leigh adams always looks smart, with his red and illuminous yellow trim. i personally love the look of the laydown bikes, i do miss upright bikes, as i do think there was better racing with them around, but the bikes look alot neater now when they have the full engine covers on, and of course, they provide valuable sponsorship areas on the bikes
