I would have gone Cook myself.Had some bad luck tonight when team riding Kerr and then when winning ht13.Wouldn't have felt as confident of getting the result we needed if Jorgensen was in it.Riss was asked but declined, probably battered and bruised after Doyle collected him.And also on the Swindon front i think they picked the right riders for ht15.That R.Jensen was good value for his points. Think the strange decision was not putting Kerr in ht8 instead of Lambert. That Riss pass on Jensen was sqeaky bum time. Hope S.Nielsen is just battered and bruised and will be back soon. That guy deserves a bit of luck doesn't he. -

I must admit the crash looked awful. I was thankful to see him get up and walk into the ambulance though, if that is any consolation. The poor man never seems to have any luck. Not his fault neither. -

He assumes Wells/Aarnio average as a guest. So i assume as long as his average is below that it doesn't really matter.Would he qualify as a no facility guest anyway? -

He can't achieve a 3pt average in the Prem if he's never rode in it -

Got to agree, unless they have changed the rules again and the reserves can have an extra 5% added for home meetings. -
4.16 i would think.

Anyway back to the match.Such a shame to see Broc Nicol getting injured before making an appearance in a Stars race jacket. Also for Sheffield as he was guesting for Redcar at the time(thanks J.bates).So he'has a broken collarbone so Lynn may have to make other arrangements now,but Lambert back for this one anyway. This has the makings of a very tight affair and can see this going down to the wire. With a spearhead of Doyle and Batchelor i think Swindon are slightly better than our top two.And they have strengthened up at reserve again with the addition of Nielsen. If Lynn are going to get 3pts from this they need Riss to hit the ground running again and the engine room and reserves to step up to the plate. Weather set fair again, and i have 6hrs off work so i can attend -

You would think his PL average would be applicable in this instance as he had already started the PL campaign this season. -
I was going to put similar but feared a backlash.

Not very good, going by the updates it wasn't his fault neither.Bad luck for Nicol and for King's Lynn.Looks like Lambert may have an extended run in the team until either Nicol is fit or until they get another rider.
-
What was suspected then, Riss and Nicol in for Proctor and Lambert. Would loved to have seen Douglas in Stars kevlars but I guess he's off somewhere else. Just waiting to get Nicols necessary paperwork done, bit they do have a contingency plan if necessary paperwork etc not completed

Simon is no world beater as he has said before. He's not one of my favourite riders but he always seems to give all for the cause when called upon.Maybe poor away but this is what you get with many riders even of a higher standard to Simon. Many people were very happy to get Cook in the side,so to allow Cook in you had to have a standard of rider like Simon.

Is BWD still out?Lambert could be the ideal replacement
-
If that's the case he can't ride for us then.According to the Sheffield website he has a rolling average from 20 matches of 4.34 so assume that will start on the 1st of July.Or a 4.94 from 12 matches for 2019,which average will they use if he was to make the step up.Still much prefer Douglas anyway. Edit: Having just read my programme from last night,it appears there will be a couple of changes on the way.
-
I take it with him still on a 4pt average in the Championship he would come in on a 3pt average in the PL.That's indeed if Lynn are looking at him.But i did see him practicing, needs to keep his front wheel down though it will be grippier at ht 2 rather than after the meeting.

Didn't know what section to put this in,but as a great servant to British speedway i would like to wish Shane a speedy recovery from a cardiac arrest. Was a fun rider and served British speedway well and really enjoyed his time at Lynn. Copied from the BSPA Twitter below. GET WELL SOON |Shane Parker, a great servant to several British clubs throughout his career, has suffered a cardiac arrest back home in Australia.Everyone at the British Speedway Promoters’ Association sends ‘Parks’ and his family our very best wishes for a swift recovery.
