  1. Surely the main objective in speedway at the moment is to make sure your club survives financially. Yes Buster could break the bank and get the best riders possible to take all silverware you want as a supporter, but then would you have a team next season to support.I know what i would rather. Many teams overspend and unfortunately not many of those are around anymore.
  2. Apparently involved in a crash last night in Sweden, hope things are ok and he will be back soon.
  3. 37-53 which would put Lynn top of the group unless of course Ipswich done the same at Poole on the night. Seriously can't see past a Robins victory really. To even get a point would be good, but to do so we need Proctor and Kerr to start scoring some points.
  4. Sod all the H&S it's all to much nowadays.Never use to hurt back in the day so don't hurt now. It's what many people like to see.
  5. I'm sure it will all come to light when the official attendance figures are released anyway
  6. If they had put Lawson as a heat leader they would have got a little moreHe is 2nd in your averages afterall
  7. Good luck to Lynn tomorrow and hope it's a good meeting for everyone to watch, and all riders stay injury free.Unfortunately can't make the journey to the foxholebecause yet again work gets in the way.
  8. In theory your reserves should be your 2 worst performers. They are down at 6/7 because because their averages say they are the 2 worst riders in your team.So in theory they should only have their programmed rides,i know it don't end up like that. But many a time a reserve that makes it into the 1-5 seem to struggle.Don't think they need to have 7 rides this means they are replacing 3 riders, that's not good to replace 3 riders every meeting. Don't forget reserves always seem to do better probably because in the main they normally have easier rides.
  9. I'm with you on that.Don't think there is anyone better than Simon who can replace Kasper on his average. Shame for Kasper really,it would be nice to see how he would have scored tonight after his morale boosting score at Peterborough last week.Although he does tend to struggle at Lynn i think mainly due to it being quite grippy.
  10. So in truth you only really need 3 days for the averages to change.
  11. Good luck to the team tonight, unfortunately work gets in the way of me attending tonight. My next meeting won't be until early June with the way the fixture list has worked out. Lynn most definitely will have their work cut out tonight with the Robins top 3/4 looking like probably the best in the league, but their bottom 2/3 probably the worst.I will try to get a peep of the updates whilst being busy working of course
  12. It certainly does.I find the averages quite strange in a way a rider gets a new average and then it takes effect a week or so later. To me it should start as soon as he attains a new average.Like in this instance Peterborough can now sign Thorssell for Barker before May 1st but after they can only sign Thorssell in place of Tungate or Andersen unless multiple changes are made. So Peterborough need to make the signing before May 1st whilst 3pts under the limit, then come 1st May and they will be 1.5pts over the limit
  13. Let's remember this is Lambert's first season in the top league in Poland. He will go awol as you like to put it in some meetings. It will most definitely be a learning curve for him and i hope he does himself proud by the end of the season.I hope all Brits do well when riding abroad. He's had two decent meetings and this one,so that's not a too bad a start for the youngster.I suppose it is a British attitude towards it's sports stars is they are rarely praised when doing well but soon bought down when not doing so well.
  14. That one with Bjerre, the green lights were on weren't they,so he should have been ready.New starting procedure this season may have caught him out.Proctor said last week at Lynn the new starting procedure has caught him out but he has to adapt to it.
  15. I have been to a Champions league match where they delayed the kick off by 45 minutes. It was Man Utd v Fiorentina i think. There was an accident on the M62 where there was a lorry dangling off a bridge and they decided to delay the kick off to allow more fans to make the match. We were happy as there were 4 of us who was stuck in that traffic.
  16. One other annoyance for me tonight, who was the ref.Was it ht 6 when we had all the restarts, then Tungate gets excluded and we have about 10 minutes before they actually get Summers in and the race going again.Yet Riss hits the deck in the first turn and before he gets up the 2 minutes are on.Consistency that's all we ask.
  17. Admit it wasn't a brilliant meeting but there were several overtakes.Including BWD being able to make the outside line work. Can't really work out if it can happen in one race why it doesn't happen in more
  18. I would have took a draw before the meeting so quite happy with that, but being 8pts up feel a little disappointed also.Thought ht 11 buggered it for Lynn when they couldn't get Riss bike going then he come out on his 2nd and was 3rd until that bike ground to a halt. That's the it goes i suppose. Kasper was a different animal tonight. It's amazing what a race win can do for you.He seemed full of confidence once getting that win and fought really hard especially ht 14 where he chased Summers all the way and so nearly got him. It's a good start to our league campaign though with 2pts in the bag. Only downside for me was not getting a programme as they had ran out,and there were plenty of people behind me who obviously suffered the same.
  19. So you don't like what you feel is a disrespectful comment made to you.And then you come out with that comment above to geoff58
  20. I think the way to get over this is to have no crashes at all.A crash don't help anyone, especially someone who has just got over a bad crash.
  21. I don't think the averages count in this cup.Not 100% sure, but pretty sure if that makes sense
  22. He did ride for Poole so is quite use to that. Most of the Poole riders should be use to riding bumps so this could play into their hands
  23. Hopefully it's all just mind games and it's already got into the Poole riders heads.Batch is Batch and he probably left something at home so couldn't practice,he's done that before.Ellis fell so what they do occasionally even in practice. So there were no problems with Zach and James the 2 lesser likes you would expect to have trouble if there were problems with the track. Hopefully all goes well tonight and Swindon come out on top
