  1. Well i think Hancock is being very childish pulling out of the meeting because he has got disqualified in one race. His pulling out has an impact on riders finishing in the top 3 and also in the top 8 depending on who he had left to face. For instance would Janowski have got a point if he faced Hancock and not Fricke, could have a bearing on the top 8. Someone said he should have had an E/F,but he didnt want Smarzlik to get any more points so couldnt do that.
  2. Partly, but then explain when in 2012 the rate was over 1.5 dollars to the pound and yet petrol was over £1.40.Surely going solely on your logic petrol then should have been under a pound.
  3. I thought fuel and food go up and down on a regular basis anyway. Can you remember buying fuel in 2012 it was over £1.40 a litre so it's got a little way to go yet before we are out of pocket.
  4. So there is nothing to discuss then until after the AGM,pointless to start the topic then until some time in November when you will know how you can make up your team
  5. Try telling SS that. For what it's worth i think you are pretty much spot on with how you weighted the averages.
  6. So you are still going on about his PL average. If they were to use them, then surely the likes of Rose,Jacobs and Clegg should have their averages reduced even further as they have inflated averages through riding at reserve all season.Whereas Newman has been riding as HL. I suppose you would be against that as well as it wouldn't benefit Newman/Poole. Easiest and simplest way is to take their averages from the time the EDRs spent at reserve and convert them.Look at the bigger picture SS and see what benefits British speedway and not just Poole speedway.
  7. While most people think a converted EL average is the way to go,only you and a few others think otherwise. If Newman had a 10pt PL average you would alter your decision for sure. You will not think outside the box and will only like decisions that benefit Poole.
  8. Why convert an average from a different league with different riders, when you could just convert his average from the actual league he would be in.All the EDRs now have an EL average just convert those. You simply want his average converted from the PL as this would no doubt put him on a lower average.
  9. Thought the track man was to blame for putting water down 20 minutes before that rain shower came.
  10. I'm glad i bought my house but each to their own.It is much tougher now to afford a mortgage especially for first timers. For instance i was earning £210 a week in 1994 and now £520 a week.In 1994 my house cost £35000 and now it is £140000.So my wages have gone up about 2.5 times but the house about 4 times. So for people now that means alot less money in their pockets.
  11. So do the EDRs have EL averages. Don't forget it's not just the EDRs who have false averages due to the format.
  12. Money must be the biggest reason. If Britsh speedway paid the most the riders would ride here 7 days a week for sure.
  13. If your are saying that,it has to go for all PL riders that ride in the EL.So there will no argument as these will be genuine averages for the likes of Worrall,King,Garrity,Lambert,NBJ,Kennett,Lawson,Summers,Lindgren,Tungate,Grajczonek and Masters. You can't just have it to suit as all the above have genuine averages in the PL.
  14. SS only wants the averages converted from the PL as this would put Newman lower than about 5 other riders. When realistically he is in the top 3 of current EDRs. I think they have to take a percentage off to make it more realisitic to the league they are in.
  15. You wont get the same value as last year, but it is still cheaper to holiday abroad without doubt. And why listen to experts, they often put us in the s**t anyway.
  16. Just need about another 10 tracks like Belle Vue's now and TV will get the crowds coming back with racing like that.
  17. Yes great interview,it looked hard for him which showed how much he wanted to win.And he chose his words very well considering he looked totally pi**ed off with his teams loss
  18. To be honest professional sportsmen should be able to take it on the chin.Tai putting his arms out at the crowd was great,it's just his interview and calling the fans idiots that gripes with me.Bet he wouldn't do that in Poland.
  19. Must admit i like Tai,but him calling the crowd idiots was wrong. He's got to remember ultimately where his wages come from
  20. That's called passion and adrenalin mixed.I loved it,again it goes back to the 80's when crowds came in there droves to see such things. The move by Lindgren was nearly a carbon copy of what happened in the GP at the weekend that put Doyle in hospital.
  21. Think Pearson needs glasses saying "has he got there"reffering to Clegg,he seems to be the only one in Britain that couldn't see he did.
