I think you are right to worry.Sheffield have a strong top 5,and 2 reserves who should do well around our place.We have a young reserve who will be very nervous I would have thought,is this his debut in the PL,cant think if he has had a meeting for anyone else.Plus R/R for Niels is likely as you said there are no suitable guests for him. If we are to lose this one I think it will be game over, as I can't see us picking up enough points away from home. What we really need is the ref to keep an eye on Ellis with his rollers,Holder to pick up a toe infection,Musielak held at customs,Cook to forget his bikes and Mountain to be stuck on one for the night.Then I fancy our chances

Why?Thompson twins,Jenkins have all ridden 3 leagues this season.

But the no8's can have more meetings in the PL,its basically a shared berth where the in form rider will get the meetings.

You make it sound we only run seven days a week so some riders can earn more,is that the case?Thought we have always run 7 days a week.

The point is Poland have indeed stopped some riders from riding in all the leagues they want.They aren't the reason it has declined in this country as Bagpuss said earlier.But to stop someone from riding in as many leagues as they want is wrong imo.If Poland paid you for your days off then fair enough.But surely if it doesn't interfere with their Polish race nights what's the problem with them racing wherever.

Zagar doesn't fit,his average changes tomorrow. Don't you have to go R/R anyway unless it's your No1 missing for which you can use a guest,or you have 2 riders out like last week so you can have a guest and R/R which ever away round you want to use it.It use to be a rule.Can't be asked to look tonight,back to work tomorrow

Don't know whether Ipswich had a No8 there last week when it was R/R for Starke,as Rowe has buggered off.

I just don't think people,riders in this case should be restricted from earning as much money as possible if they desire.

Why are we having to compete with Sweden and Denmark though,we shouldn't have too but with the Polish rule that has pushed the countries into having ro compete with each other.

This is the 2022,people don't stick together anymore like they use too in 70's and 80's to get what they want/deserve.People would rather stab you in the back nowadays.This is in pretty much any job/proffession you do now.

This is true,Poland aren't banning anyone but they are restricting them.For instance he could sign in Poland and only ride 2 other leagues.Then people will say well he don't have to ride Poland then realistically you still only have the UK,Sweden and Denmark.So still only 3 leagues.They are restricting riders because what ever way a rider goes about he will have to drop a league.

Travel was a lot different then,it would have been like it is in Poland now but the other way around,monetary wise much better for them to be here.

Can't say I remember that.I didnt think they stopped rider's from riding elsewhere.Understandibly they didn't want rider's riding somewhere else on a night they was meant to be riding in the UK,which was fair enough.Im sure they got bans for this if they did.I didn't think they were stopped from riding elsewhere which is happening at the moment concerning Poland.

Were we ever dictators?Can't really remember British clubs refusing to let riders appear in other leagues.

But if they bought down the demise of speedway in those countries,they must think where Polish speedway wil be in 20/30 years time.There won't be any Lamberts,Madsens,Lindgrens to pick.

Firstly i thought the meeting last night was a very poor one.All pretty much gate and gone,apart from two overtakes as Trees said,in 17 hts that's shocking. Then onto the use of the rising stars,through no fault of there own Sheffield faced 3 rising stars i think it was.You probably can't fault the other team managers neither as they will only look at when they think it is best to put in their r/s,without realising Sheffield had already faced a few. I would like to see an amendment to the rule now over the use of the rising stars.I would still like them involved but they could use their averages.The top two average wise should meet in the race between the two teams ie Brennan v Hume have to meet (Belle Vue v Ipswich),Mountain v Flint(Sheffield v Wolves)Jenkins v Mulford(Peterborough v King's Lynn)This way every team will only face a rising star once.Plus the rising star has to face another rising star which should make it more competetive than being yards behind the 3 main riders.
