  1. Lambert's average would come under Scott's,not just over so not expecting him.But who knows.
  2. That's a better idea, outside watching it with a few drinks. And if the racing is a bit boring, drink more and it will all seem much better, until the morning that is
  3. Thinking of watching this through BSN.Dilemma i have though is will it be worth the £13.By all accounts it's been pretty much a borefest from Foxhall this year.I did witness one such match a couple of weeks ago.It could be close but if it's all around the inside i may as well be outside in the sun enjoying a gin&tonic
  4. I did use an unsure emoji against it.And i did mention Josh Bates nearly 10 seasons experience when he became a rising star.Plus wasn't Tom Bacon 28 when he became a rising star.
  5. Could Stefan Nielsen become an option as a r/s.Probably using the Bates/Bacon route.
  6. Totally agree, once anyone like Basso gets a new average that should become effective straight away.As you have said above what teams can do,and have done in the past it's quite stupid that they don't become effective straight away. The same with the monthly averages really, done on the 23rd effective 7/8 days later.
  7. Blimey, you make it sound like all the riders have new averages, only Basso's has changed remember from the 20th
  8. I'd prefer Robert,he's still only 24
  9. He would score more possibly, but he wouldn't be on the rising star list that is why i didn't mention him.
  10. He's been ok around Lynn, but if came back to UK racing i would have thought Ipswich would have something to say about that.
  11. Jack Thomas faces 6-8 weeks out with his injuries.Apparently Lynn are looking at options to replace him.Imo it needs doing as i can't see Mulford achieving what Thomas has done, although will be ok as a no8.Will there be anyone who could come in and do a job like Jack has done,Shanes,Edwards,Clegg probably the best options so far but probably not a Jack's level imo.
  12. I for one appreciate anyone who does the updates they do a great service for anyone wanting to keep up with the scores. With me being 50+ years old i can remember waitng up until late hoping the final scores would appear on ceefax/teletext,or having to ring the speedway hotline which would cost you a fortune. Now you can see the scores race by race with comments for free and we get people like you criticising and making terrible remarks like that. Keep up the good texting all you texters
  13. There are penalty shoot-outs during rounds of cup matches, but you won't find any in league matches.
  14. Not in league matches they Don't.Complete balls up imo.I thought the last few years they had got the points system spot on.Rewarding the away team for getting close to the home team or getting a draw or win.Now they have turned a good system into a poor one rewarding(possibly)the home team for getting a draw. I see many Peterborough fans seem to like it,maybe when the tables are turned they may change their minds. Many neutrals I would say are against it.
  15. I'm with you on that Mimmo,Sheffield lose a point on gaining a draw away from home and Peterborough gain 2pts for a home draw.Crazy idea that one imo.
  16. They change them after every match, the official ones are on the BSPA site. They are normally fixed monthly. They will receive a new average on the 23rd of June which will come into effect on the 1st of July.Basso's should change after tonight though.
  17. That's there current rolling averages not their GSA.
  18. None of the teams have actually gone with their top two.Assuming the are naming their teams who they think can win it,that's the name of the game.Wouldn't you rather see the riders who normally do ok at Foxhall so should make it a closer meeting.
  19. Why are you surprised? We all know he's not that great around Foxhall and as you can pick any of your top 4 they have gone for the pair who they think can win it.
  20. Yes he will get his after tomorrow, but the rest of the teams average won't change until the new month. Rob would have done his homework and know the incoming riders will be in the team regardless of the score tomorrow and who scores what. With a Basso max tomorrow he will still be under a 6pt average. That will still give room for the 2 incoming riders.
  21. That shouldn't need to happen.Even if Basso gets a decent score it shouldn't hamper anything. They will only have to re-declare that will give them enough points.Don't need any other rider to score 0,0,0 neither as their averages won't change until the end of the month.Although having said that, the outgoing ones might give a 0,0,0, because this will bring their average down a bit and might make themselves appealing to other clubs come July.
  22. You would need a different engine to ride at Lynn to the one you would ride at Poole,or at least you use to if you wanted to do well.I knew riders would just have an engine for the Lynn track. It is more slicker nowadays so probably not so much the case anymore.
  23. I will give another slant on your report. Agree E/Fs happen in this sport. The track is the same for everyone and the experienced riders should do better, this must be why so many Ipswich fans have been on King's back all season. Starke ran up 14pts from reserve last season from 7 rides,9 of those points came from finishing ahead of Mountain,Heeps and Kemp.So i don't know why people expected another good score from Starke from only 4 rides against a lot better Lynn team from last season. Harris in great form,he did score a max last time out,but other than that not been brilliant.Iversen top of our averages away and at home this season. Jorgensen is the enigma to me,normally so good at home, but so poor away. This was the reason he wouldn't have been in my team this season. But he has warranted his place so far and has done better than in previous seasons. Jack has been very good for Lynn he will be missed. But he would have had to take 3 rides so Mulford took his last one not Worrall, they were reserve switches that you probably got confused with.I'm sure if Jack was fit he would have taken 4 rides which would have allowed Worrall to have taken one of Lawsons. But as it panned out he had to take one of Jacks and two R/R rides. Better team won on the night and that's how it happens.
  24. I think it is shut from Wisbech to King's Lynn on the dual carriageway. That is what the signs said yesterday. It was shut the opposite on Thursday when we came home from Lynn. The way i would go,the old way for the ones who can remember not having the bypass there is Walpole,Terrington,Tilney. There are several ways to go missing out that part of the A47.I often go Tilney Fen End,St Germans to Saddlewbow road to watch the speedway, the scenic route
  25. I would think the club knew at the start of the season that they would get rid of Nielsen once they had completed 5 PL matches.I don't know how it worked but the club obviously knew his average was going to jump sharply from his 3pt average to a 5+ average. It meant that they could build their top 5 as strong as they did while using his 3pt ave.Now he has to pave the way for Allen. Not saying the club had Allen in their sights but they knew they would have points to play with.Forward thinking by the club, just a shame Nielsen didn't see it coming. Edit:Just seen Mountain has withdrawn from the meeting at Leicester tonight, hope it's just a precaution and he is back for his next meeting.
