Are YOU missing British Speedway?
scoobydoo replied to Robinh88's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Doesn't that sum up speedway in the whole these days. -
Would of been nice of sky to change the tv guide listings if the speedway was called off 24hrs earlier, set it up to tape days ago, sat down to watch my first speedway only to see the cricket still under the heading of live speedway.
-
Looks like to compensate for those customers who suspended there sky sports subscription, that now its back there putting there prices up to redeem the money again from all subscribers to sky tv and sky broadband,
-
From a distance that guy looks a bit like Chris Louis and his bubbles just keep bursting along with many other promotors at some point in a season
-
Yes there additional matches but there not technically free to view to everyone
-
So for those who pay for sky sports the 25 free to air football matches are not free, so skys so called gesture only benefits non sky sports subscription payers

Who has represented most number of clubs
scoobydoo replied to Racin Jason 72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Alot of these riders mentioned have team numbers inflated since the introduction of doubling up between leagues so those such as Stan Stevens and Moggo stand out more with there total -
Peterborough Panthers 2020

Would be some very long stand off then if Chapman was to try to negotiate moving the Panthers there, not that he would mind you . -

Situated in a built up area quite close to the town centre with both commercial and residential buildings, think the favourite has to be land for housing development, -
Will the premiership start on time?
scoobydoo replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If the 14 day quarantine period for anyone flying into the UK is in place for several months it will put a massive spanner in the works for all british speedway teams and just cant see how there will be any speedway until 2021 -
Future Format for British Speedway
scoobydoo replied to Falcon1983's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thats been happening for years ! or is it just that british speedway has been going backwards for years -
Peterborough Panthers 2020

So thats Doyle, Batchelor and Iversen off to Poland, be better to knock UK premiership speedway on the head now as theres bound to be several more riders missing , promotions wont want to lower admission charges whilst the standard of the league is getting more and more watered down -

If speedway was to start anytime again this year could BWD be fit to go for someone. -
Maybe the get away was hampered by the well known transport problems
-
Theres one rider in particular that has chosen a completely different way to try to make some cash during lockdown.
-
Wonder how many of the children you see behind the Mike Western interview before the start still attend speedway today.

Expert ringing related to the Flatman's by any chance

You will most likely get a free season pass voucher to the stock cars or Kings Lynn speedway with a free burger and car parking space close to the entrance window thrown in, unless of course you have a BB lol -

If its spent then the only thing that will come out of Peterborough will be if you want a cash refund we will be forced to fold. -

If the season is cancelled then full cash refunds should be given not vouchers/credits. -
Peterborough Panthers 2020

No, but in the days when Peterborough rode matches there they were easier to stomach and had a bit more bite than many Panthers performances thats for sure only thing the same they both were normally battered -
Will British Speedway Survive ?
scoobydoo replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If the league is shrunk down to one H&A meeting promotions will need to give back 50% of the season ticket money already paid by supporters or if it doesn’t start at all a full refund -

When you think that Keith Chapman has no Income from any of the three motorsport promotions he runs, then something may have to be sacrificed and we all know which one will go. -
Always enjoyed a trip to Waterton Rd when the Panthers were getting a thrashing there, good banter if a bit heated at times especially with pretty boy Galvin in mind, thinking what a rip off £10 entrance £1 for a packet of crisps, wasn't the same when the place returned as London although a Crump inspired Tsubaki Chain Panthers won there. Poor Sam Fox got some real stick at a BSPA meeting there think it was Glasgow fans singing to her about getting something out for the lads as she walked along the home straight then stood next to me and said hello before walking onto the track in her high heels Make it a date Friday at 8
