  1. As far as the world stage goes Im pretty certain that Wuffy and Bomber are well aware that no one rates them!
  2. Will admission be allowed and at what charge purely for the NL match?
  3. I would hazard a guess that next years GP series will contain 13 out of the current permanent 15 with Artem and Antonio replacing Zorro and Tai...all barring serious injury or retirements. I can't see BSI/IMG ommitting both Brits, doesnt make commercial sense to them, so Bomber will have to be handed a pick, which then makes it very difficult to justify ommitting anyone who finishes above him. Only way I can see Janusz getting a permanent GP spot is if either Greg or Nicki call it a day. One other rider that could be in trouble if he falls outside the top 8 would be Hans, but as said above how do you justify to Hans he is out of the series if the hand Bomber a wildcard.
  4. Emil is as guaranteed as the world champion of a place in next years GP series. How can you kick someone out of the series who will only ride 4 rounds out of the 11 due to injury and could actually still finish above Tai in the final standings

  6. Buxton v Dudley KOC dates are the 14th and 19th September
  7. From what I can see om the Sky website Scandavian GP is on Sky Sports 1 at 6pm, it then goes to the red button at 7pm
  8. Buxton have already defeated Rye House over 2 legs, that was back on June 13th
  9. The Cobras website has scores and rides taken but no individual heat results. Guess you will have to wait like the rest of us till Buxton update their website.
  10. Things shouldn't be too bad for Buxton, ok the loss of Charles is a blow. Between now and the 6th August though Buxton only have 4 scheduled meetings. By the 6th of August, weather permitting and barring injury Nick will have ridden his 11th meeting for Glasgow and will be promptly 'sacked' in order to preserve his 3 point average for next season.
  11. No I am afraid your reading it correctly
  12. Well given that winning a GP these days is just as much about taking riders to the fence, taking each others line, strong elbows etc etc as well as a fast bike and a bit of ability I say give Andre Compton a wild card slot and he could well be in with a chance....hehehehe. In more reality next British winner of a GP .....Ben Taylor
  13. Last year gate 3 was an absolute shocker....failing to make the first 2 in 18 out of the 23 heats. Anyone know if this is typical of Eskilstuna??? Both Crump and Trick have 2 starts form that gate. Also believe Trick is due a win soon, but if gate 3 proves to be the same as last year then the pressure will be on him just to make the semi's. May sit back and take a bit of the "in running" once I see how the track pans out.
  14. Does anyone know why Scott did not ride in his GSR team colours at Copenhagen? Was this an oversight by Scott, has he left the team or has the team been broken up? I see that Greg still wore his.
  15. To be honest cant see any premier team wanting to move up to the EL in its current form. Costs being the main issue, with GP riders running a close second. The teams talked about earlier in this thread would all be affected by the GP's, Workington race on a saturday so would have the same problems that has affected Coventry over the past few years, the BLC has hardly been a major success with cancelled meetings etc. Arena would also be affected as GP practice is on a friday and in some ways Sheffield and Swindon would also have difficulties has riders would want to be on their way to the continent by Thursday afternoon. With the current issues regarding GP riders not wanting to fullfill their rides or matches in the EL, the only solution to a bigger league is for the GP riders to make a a choice between the EL and GP's.
  16. Would love to see these 7 racing round Owlerton every week. Hans Nielsen - True Class Kenny Carter - Love and Hate really, Great rider but why couldn't Shawn beat him everytime. Jan O Pedersen - A great man whose talent deserved more success Lance King - Loved watching him ride, What did happen to him? Jim Airey - For anyone who used to follow Sheffield away to see Jim get 18 points and the rest struggle to get 10 between them Sean Wilson - The best captain in the world. 3 great years would not have happened if it wasn't for Sean Roman Matousek - Just for his 2 match race victories over Chris Louis and Jimmy Nilsen. 2 of the most memorable nights I've had watching Sheffield. Probably a bit biased with regards to Sheffield, but it's only a dream team.
