And according to the preview of tonights meeting in the Sheffield Star, the Peterborough home meeting is now rescheduled for Wednesday the 2nd June??? Not sure how reliable this is as it doesnt appear on the Sheffield website and would mean the Tigers being at home 2 nights on the trot

Ipswich vs Sheffield 27th May
Heathcote replied to 2ndbendbeerhut's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is definitely not a case of Jack picking and choosing tracks, this is purely Jack picking and choosing which paymaster he pleases and the amount he is prepared to spend to do so. As anyone can see it is possible to get from England to Poland on Friday morning but there is only one chance and probably would involve a lot of logistics with travel and therefore expense. Add in covid tests time spent travelling and how prepared he would be once arriving in Gorzow. He wouldn't land in Warsaw till midday, how long to get through and out the airport etc??? Then it is a 5 hour drive to Gorzow. For the money he is paid in the UK to race compared to the money he could miss out on in Poland its a no brainer -

Sheffield v Peterborough 20.05.21
Heathcote replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Once the forecast had been issued at the weekend this meeting was never going to happen. Until all restrictions on crowd size are lifted in mid june, any hint of rain ahead and a meeting will be off...unless a designated TV meeting. Why would any promoter run a meeting now with reduced crowds when he has a chance to put the meeting on in July/August with a full crowd in attendance...obviously they cant cancel every single meeting as there will be no time to fit in all the matches but I expect all clubs to have a a couple of rains offs prior to June 21st , makes financial sense. Also many will do it as early as they can for Monday meetings to save their riders the expense of flying over from Poland. -
Batchelor over Wright Batchelor over 8 points Wright under 8 Points Etheridge -2 over Bates Kemp +1 over Bridger Cook over 10 points

Surely both Holder and Crump can easily have 7 rides tonight? 4 programmed rides, one RR ride, Heat 15 making 6 and then as a tactical sub when more than 6 points down?
-
Does anyone know what happens with regards postponements? Under normal circumstances if the weather was dodgy some would not go, but with having to purchase tickets in advance what happens o your cash should it be rained off? Given admission to a future event or full refund. If admission to a future event, how does that work with a limited capacity? Also for away fans you dont exactly want readmission to a future date, and you may not be able to make the rearranged fixture against your team
-
Once you go through the purchase process you will be asked the question do you wish to pay using your pay pal account or another method, choose the other method and you can use your regular credit/debit card. Although it doesn't state, one assumes you should be able to have your ticket on your smart phone. In this day and age, the number of people without printers far outweighs the number of people without a smart phone

In that case Dudek at 11/2 EW, cannot see him not making the top 3 in that field and at 1/4 odds still a profit even if he doesnt take the top spot
-
Whats the format for the Polish Golden Helmet? Straight 20 heats? One last chance final for the top 6 or 2 semis for the top 8? Miskowiak to outscoure Krakowiak looks a play along with Smektala over 9
-
For the second meeting Bet 365 seem to be pretty much on the mark with all their odds and as a result only have 2 plays Zmarzlik over 11 Lindgren over 8
-
For the 5pm meeting Im going with Rybnik +24 i think Lambert and Woryna should be able to keep the final score a little more respectable than the 57-33 thrashing the bookies expect it to be. Lambert and Woryna should be able to get 20+ points between them and Milik, Logachov and Nowacki chipping in another 14+ points between them. Also backing Rybnik at +14 after 8 heats. With Lambert and Woryna most likely in 5 of the first 8 heats to pick up points. Logachev in heat 4 against Lublins weakest pairing and Milik should have the beating of Trofimov in heat 6 to keep the scores reasonable at the mid point stage Also going Laguta over 10 Zager over 8 Logachev +1 over Jamrog Nowacki +2 over Trofimov

For the first meeting Leszno -14, they dispatched of Wroclaw a slightly better side, in my opinion by 16 points the other night Laguta and Hampel both over 7, 5 rides each should cover that Zager -3 over Lidesy, Lidsey wont get a point or more than 2 rides Hopefully Matej can get 3rd place in each of his rides Hampel +1 over Pawlicki Pawlicki under 10, at 17/10 as he was pretty woeful against Wroclaw hopefully he doesn't score well this afternoon
-
Got to go with Rybnik at +22, whilst they will get easily beaten I cant see them failing to to get 35 points (Im going 52-38) Buczkowski Under 8 Woryna over 7 I do fancy Laguta +4 over Lambert but at odds of 4/7 its just not worth the play
-
Playing the same 3 bets as yesterday for the ZG v Czestochowa meeting plus the addition of :- Lindgren -1 over MJJ For the Leszno Wroclaw meeting Drabik Over 7 Drabik +3 Over Pawlicki Smektala Over 5 Woffinden over 9
-
Oh well second meeting postponed so no damage done there and profit on the first meeting but Zmarzlik not getting over 14 from 7 rides is a bit of a shock
-
For the second meeting today Czestochowa +2 Lindgren over 9 Also a small play on the match being drawn
-
My picks for the first meeting Laguta over 8 Laguta over Kasprzak Zmarzlik over 14 Thomsen over 9 Michelsen over 9 The handicap of +/- 4 for Lublin is a little too close for me to take a punt, although I do think Lublin should run out 48-42 winners of the meeting Barring injury both Zmarzlik and Thomsen are guaranteed 6 rides each

Leszno v Wroclaw is on Freesports 7pm Monday - Live Zielona Gora v Czestochowa is on Premier 1 12:45am Monday morning GrudziÄ…dz v Rybnik doesnt appear on the schedule at all, maybe they will put this in place of one of the many other repeats over the next 7 days -
Czestochowa -8 Madsen over 10 Pedersen Under 12 Madsen -2 over Pedersen Main bet being the Czestochowa -8 , personally see this being a comfortable home win of 12-14 points

Yes I understand that, but there is no guarantee at this moment the Russian league will go ahead, unless that contract with Balakov guarantees him payment irrespective of actually riding?? As for being in Poland all that time?? Its only 5 months, May 8th till last meeting being the 11th September...ok there could be play offs but still first week in October only takes it to a total of 5 months and your still free to move around as you wish within the country and for all anyone knows the borders could open up mid july etc.....potentially 130K for 5 months away....its hardly difficult
