Wolves at -6 tonight is a bet for me. Potentially dodgy decision given the fitness fears of Morris and a bit of rain around making track different to normal, but still feel Wolves will run out winners by 10-12 points. Masters, Morris and Douglas will match the scoring of Musielak, Ellis and Howarth but Worrall and Becker will easily outscore Holder and Kerr. Backing Musielak over 11 and 13, feel from his 6 rides he should finishing a minimum of second each race and should get home in front a couple of times at least Also backing Holder under 8 and under 10, the under 10 should be easy, but at odds of 1/2 its hardly going to break the bank, as he has only scored 6, 4 and 7 on his previous 3 visits this year and was pretty abysmal in the pairs both bets should have a reasonable chance. With the above in mind Becker -2 over Holder is also a bet Masters over 10 should land in my opinion from his 5 rides, even if he does follow Worrall home in a couple of heats Flint -1 over Mountain, Leon is in good form and just feel he will end up with 5 rides, replacing Kemp in at least 1 race and should outscore Connor

Sheffield cannot meet Ipswich in the play offs, a win tonight would take Sheffield top of the table and therefore mean they meet Wolves in the play offs, a defeat tonight means they would meet Belle Vue again in the play offs. As Sheffield have 5 home fixtures, 6 if tonights match is postponed, to arrange in the final 5 weeks of the season why are they not announcing the first leg of the League cup final against Kings Lynn for next Thursday? As Sheffield will not be involved in the play offs next Thursday regardless of who they meet and Kings Lynn also have no meeting?

With the absence of Ryan Douglas I dont see how Wolves get to 36 points this morning, so fully believe that Belle Vue will win by more than the current handicap on offer at Bet 365 Norrick at -5 over Drew Kemp is also a bet, as apart from Drew potentially beating Leon in heat 2 I dont see where he gets another point if all 4 riders finish each race I know Luke Becker has been in a bit of form lately but his scores this year at the NSS havent been great and I dont see him getting over 10 points, admittedly he could have 7 rides and if he does get a Tac Sub ride and Heat 15 he will have had a good meeting, but at 5/4 I think its worth the gamble that he wont have 7 rides. In the same vain I think its worth the bet on Brady at +1 over Luke Zagar over 9 is also a bet for me, should race to a full maximum in my opinion

Sheffield v Belle Vue 25th August
Heathcote replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well the only date available for a double header would be the 22nd Sept, as I presume this Thursday is too soon to rearrange the fixture, and on the 15th Sept Belle Vue are already riding at Peterboro Alternatives are move the play offs to starting the 29th September, race the meeting on a sunday afternoon depending on rider availability with regards the Polish Play offs, or cancel the pairs at Belle Vue and stage the fixture on the 12th September -

Sheffield v Belle Vue 25th August
Heathcote replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sure last weeks earlier call off was due to riders etc travelling from Ipswich and also to prevent the TV crew from setting up, this week as its Belle Vue they can leave it till 4pm. There is also the fact that they are now getting to the stage of the season where they are going to have to ride in pretty much any conditions, given the fact they have so far crammed 8 home meetings into the first 22 weeks of the season and are now faced with 6 definite home fixtures and possibly 8 with the Play off semi and final in the last 9 weeks of the season -
Can anyone shed any light on why Justin is getting so many rides for Sheffield just lately when is performances and scores clearly dont warrant it? 6 Rides at home at Kings Lynn and brought in as a reserve replacement for Connor at Wolves, in both meetings Connor was riding so much better. Or is it a plan to get his average so far down that he becomes a steal for next season

Wasnt the interesting extra content only stated for the sale of watching the GP's on the Discovery App where there are no ad breaks? Although if it was mentioned as being part of Eurosports British Speedway coverage, in order to have extra interesting content, you would require something interesting to happen through the meeting for them to discuss. I know the sport is at the mercy of the weather and that is beyond Eurosprts control but seems every meeting they go to recently the track is in an absolutely shocking state. Obviously the poor track on Monday lead to a much closer meeting but at times it was like watching novices ride around, a good track would have produced better racing but inevitably would have lead to a very easy win for the Wolves. With regards an "extra" content, sadly I have to say you would require someone better than Sam to deliver it, interviews or interviews with riders about technical aspects of the bike or track should always be conducted by Brando, a consummate professional with regards interviews and has enough knowledge and interest in speedway to ask pertinent questions. Abi is a bright cheerful presenter but is no more than that and only really has to fulfil 15 mins at the start and a minute or two after each ad break. Whilst I think Kelvin has done an excellent job as main commentator I still feel he would be better suited as co commentator to Dave Rowe, may not have the same spark as him and Nigel, but Kelvin is excellent at providing insight whilst he is still learning as main commentator. The addition this year of various co commentators from current riders though has been great I feel, with both Josh Pickering and Steve Worral being excellent in the job so far

A few bets i like tonight, although its all pretty much based on Tobiasz having a good night with little back up from the rest of the Tigers Bet 365 have the handicap of -8 about right as i expect a 49-41/50-40 home win so wont be touching that Fully expect Tobiasz to have 7 rides, with RR Tac Sub and Heat 15 so over 12 should be a steal from 7 outings Nick Morris -1 over Holder, Holder makes no secret he doesnt like the tight Monmore circuit and even with 5 rides I dont see him scoring many more than 6-7 points, Morris should be getting 8 minimum Connor Mountain +2 over Flint, Connor riding much better lately and if he gets his gating gloves on he should be avoiding last place in all his outings, as well as possible picking up an extra reserve ride or RR, as can see Kerr and Sedgman struggling Howarth +2 over Douglas, purely based on the fact Kyle should pick up 6 rides with RR and Heat 15 Ryan Douglas over 7, although this does depend on him occasionally getting in front of Becker Holder Under 7 and Kerr under 5

League Cup Final Sheffield v Kings Lynn
Heathcote replied to RS50's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With Sheffield now riding every Monday and Thursday between now and the 12th September, also add in the need to race the Wolves league fixture before whatever cut off date the BSPA has come up with then the play offs and final, along with the rearranged British Final we are probably looking at late October before this fixture can be fitted in -
Barring an EF in the final no one is touching Dan Bewley all night, far outclasses anyone else in this field, bit zero value in backing Bewley for anything listed i feel I see Ellis making the final with him, although not been in great form this season sure he will be determined to show he can defend the title with pride and will certainly want his shot at Cardiff. See Wright, Bomber and Steve Worrall making the last chance heat and the final place in that will be between King and Brennan. So will be backing Ellis over 10 Having a small play on Steve Worrall for the title, not that I think he will win it but at 5.5/1 to not come last in the final I thinks worth a shout Also backing Lawson to outscore Howarth, Kyle has only scored 8 points from 9 rides at Belle Vue this season and i dont see him scoring any more than 6 tonight whilst Lawson I feel will get 8/9. As a result will also be backing Howarth under 9. I also cannot see where Lewis Kerr scores 6 points tonight so will be backing him under that. Also Nicholls to outscore Kerr and Flint to outscore Starke
-
Belle Vue v Peterboro Have this down as a 22 point home win, 56-34, although wont be touching the handicap as not entirely sure if Im banking on Basso having a reasonable night, as can only really see him and Bomber troubling the scorers tonight. So only punts in this meeting are Basso over 7 and Wright over 8 Wolves v Kings Lynn Think this will be a 49-41 home win so again wont be touching he meeting handicap but do think that Wolves will race ahead and only later in the meeting will it be clawed back somewhat, so taking Wolves at -4 at Heat 8. Lawson at +5 over Becker seems a great bet to me, yes Richard may only get 7-8, but dont see Becker getting 12-13, hence also backing Lawson over 6 Will be backing Howarth over 6 but also a punt on Douglas -3 over Howarth Flint over Edwards is also another bet
-
So not the 8th for Sheffield v Kings Lynn??....which has only recently been moved to a monday night
-
Belle Vue v Kings Lynn Feel this should be a walk in the park for the Aces and should run out winners by around 20 points, so certainly backing the Aces at -14. Also backing Blodorn at +2 over Jorgensen. With Lawson and Pickering most likely getting 6 and 7 rides respectively I will also be backing Lawson to score over 7 and Josh over 11 Peterboro v Wolves MPT is a big loss for the Panthers and not sure they have enough men in form to cover his RR so think Wolves will run out winners by around 6 points and thus backing them at the -2 Handicap Think Scott should get over 6 from his 5 rides, also backing Douglas to score over 8
-
Judging by Bet 365 prices, I am assuming Sam Masters is not riding for Wolves, as it appears that Bet365 are banking on all the Wolves heat Leaders having an extra ride Anyway for what its worth, I think all 3 matches will be home wins in the 49-41 or 48-42 region so will be backing all 3 home teams at those handicaps Wolves v Ipswich Doyle +1 over Morris, Douglas -2 over King, Becker -1 over Batchelor, Doyle over 12, Douglas Over 9, Batchelor Under 8 Belle Vue v Sheffield Holder under 9, Musielak over 8, Kurtz over 9, Howarth over Wright Peterboro v Kings Lynn MPT Over 10, Pickering Over 13, Pickering Over Harris,
-
Think Ipswich at -6 is the standout bet tonight, personally see the Witches running out by 10-12 points. Harris to score over 12 is also a bet for me, purely on the basis that I think Bomber will have 7 rides. Also backing Andersen under 11, even with the potential of 6 rides and now paired back with Ostergaard who has improved a little of late, I see those 2 taking points off each other too regularly and not enough race wins for Andersen to be getting double figures. The Stars Tigers fixture is a little to close to call and as result just two bets on rider points, Ellis over 8 and Lawson over 7
-
Think 365 have th handicap about spot on for the Wolves Belle Vue encounter, although feel there is value at heat 8 in the wolves -6, think Kurtz will be a miss tonight for the Aces. Whilst Monmore may not have been Bradys fav place I feel he would have scored 7/8 which RR will not cover. Zagar over 7 seems a good bet to me, as should get 5 rides, possibly 6. A small gamble on Becker +3 over Wright, I know Charles could end up with 7 rides if he hits the form of his previous visit to Monmore, but banking that he doesnt and that Becker can at least get a similar score to Wright Peterboro Ipswich will be a much closer meeting and again could go to the super heat. Not sure what 365 know about MPT both his bets at +1 over king and to score over 8 seem like printing money to me, would have gladly back MPT at -1. Also taking Doyle at -1 over Bomber, barring EF Doyle should romp to a 15pt max
-
Belle Vue at -4 I think is a steal, Can see BV winning by 10 points tonight. Blodorn over Kemp, I dont see where Kemp scores apart from Heat 2, if that. Whilst I think on paper Sheffield should win this meeting, the complete inconsistency of the top 5 means it could end up being close, possibly even a draw. Although I dod feel Holder and Musielak will have good nights and will score over 9 and 8 respectively. Also think MPT should be good for over 8 also. Will also take a punt on Holder +2 over Harris
-
Smacks of making a change just for the sake of it in my opinion. Whilst Stefan hasn't really shown the form of last season he also hasn't been that bad either, yes possibly being outscored by Connor, but Connor does get the slightly easier rides due to being a "rising star" although in terms of years in the sport and experience not a deal between them, connor just lucky in terms of getting he number 7 spot. Its further up the order that Sheffields management need to be looking, whilst i dont think anyone is in danger of losing their terms place, the complete lack of consistency certainly needs addressing
-
Wolves v Peterboro Should be a comfortable home victory by around 14 points I would think so certainly backing Wolves at -10, also think the -6 at heat 8 is generous too so also taking a punt on that. Surely MPT can get to 7 points in 5, possibly 6 outings? Will take a gamble on it. Also a punt on Nick Morris continuing his good form, over 10 Belle Vue v Ipswich Think this might be a little closer than the meeting at Monmore and I think a 10point home win, so wont be touching the handicap on the meeting, but will be backing Belle Vue at -4 at heat 8 Doyle must be nailed on for 6 outings so should easily get over 11, also taking Doyle at +1 over Zagar As i dont see Batchelor finishing ahead of any of BV's top 4 and possibly not even beating Brennan, if his 3 visits there last season are anything to go by, so Batchelor under 7 is a bet for me A punt on Brennan -3 over Barker also
-
Peterboro v Wolves MPT -1 over Douglas - MPT should have 5 rides, unless th rest of the Patchers suddenly find some serious form, also riding with the out of form Scott, whilst Douglas and Becker could end up beating each other and no guarantee of 5 rides for Douglas this is my main pick in the meeting. Also MPT over 10 Morris + 5 over Basso - Just think 5 points is way to much of a head start for someone that is around 3rd in the league averages, been going well everywhere and should be hitting at least 8-9 points. Yes Basso could have 7 rides but hasn't replicated his early season form and even with the possibility of taking 7 rides cant see him hitting 14-15 points. As a result also taking Morris over 7 Ipswich v Kings Lynn Doyle -4 over Iversen. I dont really see Doyle getting beat tonight and now riding with Starke, I dont see him getting beat by his own partner either. NKI will most likely hit the 8-9 mark and dont see that being enough to surpass Doyley Pickering and King both over 7, Pickering should hit double figures with 5 rides, even if only 4 rides he is up against the likes of Hume, Barker, Starke and Worrall in 3 of his rides so could easily have over 7 before heat 13 comes along. The King bet is more of a risk as relying on hime not following Riss home in every single heat, if he does get in front of him then he should also score more than 7 Hume over Thomas - Danyon has shown good form since coming in for the Witches and given his recent form and Barker and Starkes hit and miss form he could easily have more than his 4 programmed rides Also had a double on both home teams to win the meeting and also both home teams to be ahead after heat 8
-
According Sportowefakty, Berntzon (Injured) and Misowiak make way for Zmarzlik and Legowik to ride tonight for Lejonen And according Alex Raby's twitter feed Zmarzlik is riding
-
Wolves v Sheffield Think Wolves will win this based purely on their gating skills, certainly showed sheffield how to get the the first bend at Owlerton in front and cant see it being much different tonight, especially as Ellis and Mountain seemed to have lost their gating gloves in recent weeks. Musielak should offer some resistance along with Howarth's recent up turn in form, Wolves should take it by 6. Bets, Wolves to be leading at heat 8, Musielak over 9 (thinking 6 rides) and Kemp over Nielsen, think Kemp winning heat 2 will be enough to take that bet as I only see Nielsen beating Leon Flint Kings Lynn v Peterborough Cant deny I was tempted by the +8 on Peterboro, as i think MPT, Harris and Basso could keep this closer than many think, but in the end have left it alone Bets, NKI over 8, Harris over 10, Andersen over Kerr
-
365 leaving the markets late again Think both matches will be very close tonight, both could easily finish 46-44, although I feel both home sides will just sneak it, the lack of any reasonable scoring from Wolves reserve pairing will be their downfall, even though Kemp has good knowledge of the Foxhall circuit. Becker over Barker, seems a shoe in to me, Becker always reasonable at Foxhall and should be ok for 8 points, even with Barker having an extra ride i done see him getting over 5 King over Douglas, more a guess that King has to come good at Foxhall sooner or later, in reasonable form for Poole, and should get 5 rides, has Ipswich have little option in my opinion for that heat, also Douglas never been the best at Ipswich, also Douglas under 9. At Owlerton, Kurtz over 8 and Musielak over 9
