  1. Mylor, there are plenty of trams that will take you to the metro station, from which you can get to the centre. Its very easy to get around Prague, and banks are a plenty in the centre so cash machines are not a problem. Cash machines are also available at the airport. I found the cheapest way around was to buy a travel pass, this will allow travel on buses, trams and trains throughout the city and can be bought at the airport.
  2. Full result and report can be found here http://speedwaybikes.com/res03_w/ff030926.htm
  3. Just let me know in plenty of time so i can organise sick leave and hotel rooms
  4. Jason Crump - even if it means buying another t-shirt!!
  5. Thanks for keeping quite Joanne. We eventually got back to our hotel at 3am and had to ring the door bell cos we cudn't get the keys to work!!. Oh well back to the real world now.
  6. check out http://world.speedway.org/ wher you can get a full line up for Saturdays GP in Prague. Looks like Tomas Topinks is in for the injured Lukas Dryml
  7. Thanks for the info ballinger, really looking forward to the weekend. If you see me in a bar, (I'll be wearing a blue spedway-forum cap) come over and say hello.
  8. According to sources taxi prices are set dependant on which area you are travelling to. Apparantly you should only travel in officially marked taxis otherwise the fare could well be more expensive then first realised. A tram/bus to Wencelas Square is approx 12k which works out at about 35p. The choice is yours. For further info check out www.myczechrepublic.com/prague/safety.html
  9. Only if I can find my passport, which has been mislaid since returning from Spain.
  10. e-mail speedmarketa@mbox.vol.cz or speedway@quick.cz They should email you back an order form which you print off and fill in, then fax to the number provided. You should then recieve a voucher via email confirming your ticket purchase. Tickets are avaliable for collection from Stadium Marketa the week before the GP and on the day, apparently they do not post the tickets to you. Your passport should only be needed as proof of identity when collecting your tickets. Hope this helps
  11. STUPID ! ! ! In my opinion, for what it's worth, Ryans decsion to ride with such injuries borders on the insane. Fair enuff the guy wants that Championship, but regardless of a top 10 finish or not, Ryan would undoubtably be given a wild card for next season, if required.
  12. Isn't that what we pay good money for, to see four riders start and finish a race 8) :-o

  14. Let them have it. As much as I enjoy Cardiff, I would settle for more regular speedway and some new opponents.
  15. Luckily they only sold out of the cra##y lagers like carling and fosters. Plenty of Stella still on sale, and if they sell out I'll move somewhere else. (Every forum-member rings and pre warns the Prince of Wales) Cheers Guys
  16. Regardless of the date my stopover is already sorted, just 20 minutes by train from the Stadium. Hopefully I'll be there earlier next year so I can sup a few more beers
  17. The noise was great but as said before not as noisy last year, perhaps the mistake was leaving the roof open. Whatever anybodies opinion is I defy anyone to find a better atmosphere at any other GP. Poland is loud when the Poles are on track, but at least at Cardiff fans from all over the world made a noise for their chosen rider. Still undecided about the attendance, maybe about the same as last year, perhaps a little higher.
  18. You won't know who we are but we will be wearing Speedway-forum baseball caps, so don't be shy come over and say hello.
  19. and almost as important, take plenty of beer money!!
  20. if your lucky like i was last year you wil find a street with no parking restrictions only minutes walk from the stadium, it took us half an hour to find it, but it was free.
  21. Take the train, only 15 minutes from Barry, and then only one minute walk to the stadium. Costs only a few quid and the trains run till about 2am.
