  1. Thought I would post on here for the Heathens fans. Tom Perry was today crowned 'International Poacher Champion 2010'. Superb last bend saw Perry go round Jamie Rodgers to clinch the title. Perry also beat in the final David Howe and Theo Pjiper both established grasstrack and speedway riders

  11. not long back myself, it's a bloody long drive...made worse by constant congestion on the English roads.... was happy to find my 'standing' tickets were actually seats. stadium was tidy although i guess the individual searches upset a few, by turning up later the queues had all but dissappeared. found the atmosphere a bit flat, maybe due to the small number in a large stadium. impressed with the presentation of the meeting, much better than cardiff IMO, the acoustics sounded better to. the racing was ok, not brilliant but as expected for a man made track. the incident in the race off hapened almost right in front of me and i was amazed the referee never stopped the race. congratulations to AJ on his win and also to Nicki Pedersen for his dominance of this years series..
  12. I saw Nicholls walk to Harris' pit bay, but I noticed he didn't stay long. I guessed he'd been told by the pit crew he wasn't welcome, but being on the second bend I couldn't see fully into the pit bay. Thanks Rob for clearing up the incident
  13. going early sat morning via eurotunnel, only £44 return for the car and 4 passengers and only 35 minutes port to port that's not good news
  14. just got home from the stadium and despite previous predictons regarding crowd sizes i'm sure there will be a great atmosphere at Brandon tonight. the turnstiles open at 530 and already there are long queues waiting to get in, lots of GB/English flags and a good few USA flags too, hope sky scan the crowd tonight could be a very colourful event. time to eat before taking my rightful place on the hallowed terracing at Brandon Go Tean GB, you can do it
  15. plenty of rain yesterday, but none last night and so far so good, safe journey to all travelling fans
  16. absolute disgrace, all the good work at cardiff was undone tonight, for anyone who watched tonight for the first time might make it the last time too
  17. paula i'll have it, do you want the money in advance or on the day?
  18. well done Chris, some great racing put you on top of the podium, enjoy it mate and good luck for the rest of the season.
  19. sat on upper teir 3rd bend, and to me there did seem an awfully lot more inside this year which surprised me. at the pub i never had to wait longer than a minute to be served whereas last year it took 10 minutes each visit to the bar, the pub seemed down on punters but maybe peeps didn't move about so much due to the weather
  20. usual practise at Brandon for FIM events is as follows general admission avaliable on the day which gives access to all parts of the stadium with the exception of the grandstand seats. sitting in the bar or standing below the grandstand is no extra price, normally extra stewards are used to police the seating area for ticket holders only.
  21. FYI, i am usualy found at Brandon on a friday night. the name of the bowling league is out of my control, even tho we play on a sunday... go figure that one out
  22. perhaps it's just me, but i can't for the life of me see where the question 'who isn't going?' is asked.
