  1. Its peeing down in poole. And did the same last Wednesday.
  2. Yep I to saw it Steve, and it gives not only Darcy hope but many other spinal injury victims hope. This won't be a quick fix, but in say 20 years time there will be massive advances, and even then Darcy for example will only be in his early forties. It will happen, but it won't happen overnight. Up until now, stem cell surgery was the way forward to give spinal injury victims greater mobillty, but this in the long term could give greater results.
  3. Ah right though, aren't I... Not as good a deal you make out. Don't you just hate it...
  4. Whoopy doo, and after 12 months you'll go back to the original rate..
  5. £23 to watch EL Speedway, robbery. And I thought Dick Turpin was dead
  6. Michael was one of the most talented riders ive seen at Poole, when he was right. I still remember him stalking Mitch Shirra for 3 laps and taking him as though he just wasn't there. He would do this on a weekly basis.
  7. By whom.. Really, i think your just making things up just to make yourself look good..
  8. Surely you are getting confused, the EU thread is in the General Discusions.
  9. I know you cannot gurantee the weather up there but Why shouldn't Sky go to the new stadium ? On the same token, you cannot gurantee the weather anywhere nowadays..
  10. For me April to September, then the play off's before it starts to change. Gone have the days late 60's early 70's where you could vertually gurantee going straight to the end.
  11. There wasn't any, the richest clubs signed who they liked.. Hope that helps..
  12. But we are not talking about the 70's, we are talking about the 50's and 60's..
  13. Really, i think you are very wrong pal, but you believe what you want do deary.
  14. Because the bikes today are completely different set up now. They do not act on deep tracks.
  15. Yep, and they are still paying for it..
  16. Clearly you don't know what Rusks are, let me explain, they are round Biscuits that you give to kids when they are very young they were made by a firm called farleys.
  17. Bjarne is past his best, he was a very good rider when he rode for us, and very loyal. What you will get from Bridger is 100 % effort, sometimes i wish Matt would have signed him..
  18. Nope, winning is the be all and end all. You get nothing for finishing second. And those that say it the taking part that counts, phooey,
  19. I caught him and stuck him away last night, but he's been kicking tenbells of whatnot out of the door this morning.. So much energy..
  20. Mate in the bygone era you had no points limit, so the richest club/ s had the manopoly, they had the clout to sign who they wanted. Today you have to work to a points limit no matter what many on here like to say, you still have to stick withing that limit, and with the restrictions you have and rider avaliability its even harder. Year in year out, Matt puts together a side that at the bare minimum gets to the final. What is it, 6 on the trotski of four of those have been winners. Not bad that.. B WITCHER would love to be printing that.. Then he woke up...
  21. No problem.. Time yet, but in the modern era, we are the most successful by a country mile.. But lets not get in the way of a post war pre war era. When i doubt you were even cracking your teeth on Rusks... How many Championships have Ippo won in the last Er, um. You cannot compare those eras when you had no points limit. Much easier in those days..
  22. And your point is ? We, is that the Royal We.. I bet your not even old enough to remember Mauger and Collins. If we win it this year old son, they won't be.. Matts not finished by a long Chalk yet.. Put it this way, every club in the country would love Matt to be there promoter..
  23. Sorry Steves right. Years and years ago you had no restrictions whatsoever, so you could have and sign vertually who you liked. Nowadays you have a team building limit and you are restricted to the riders you sign, whether it be here or abroad. Now who's this one promoter who can Alledgedly flex the rules to his discretion then ?
