  1. The situation is totally unacceptable however I have a genuine question. If the Somerset promotion, assuming they were told, were that concerned about their fans being shortchanged with Wolves only having half a team couldn't they have said, as the staging track, if they'd have so wished, 'We're not having that, we'll have to rearrange?'. That's not knocking Somerset in any way, it's not their riders that are missing after all.
  2. Different level/opposition/track I know but Ellis Perks scored 10 + 4 for Redcar at home to Berwick last night! You never know.
  3. Can't recall when it was exactly but this all started when there was a kerfuffle between Woffinden and the BSPA about a place in a British semi final at Sheffield a few years back before he was World Champion. They wouldn't 'help' him and the relationship has gone downhill since. And for the record I'm not a fan
  4. I looked it up and posted it earlier Steve No Edinburgh match clashing with the 'B' but there is a Rybnik fixture on that day. No Freddie again on the face of it.
  5. Couldn't agree more Doesn't appear that the Somerset promotion are too bothered though about Masters & Lindgren being missing as surely they wouldn't have agreed either! The 'B' fixture is planned for friday 28th july, Edinburgh currently have no fixture on that day (@ Ipswich the previous night) but guess what, yep Rybnik riding so no Freddie again as far as I can tell!!
  6. Didn't expect that after the rain/double header preparation as traditionally the home side suffer a bit with different track conditions. On the plus side for Wolves credit to Greaves, wasn't up against much I know but scoring in all 4 rides is definitely a step in the right direction. For Lynn Lambert is looking more impressive as every day goes by. Gave Freddie the hurry up and not many have done that round Monmore this season. More of the same at the OTA on friday please Robert! On the minus side the move to Lynn hasn't made any difference to Holder's hate, hate affair with The Green.
  7. Peter Adams has just stated on the radio after the King's Lynn meeting that Robert Lambert is guesting for Freddie in this one.
  8. Assuming he's still on them, maybe, after a year, he's now got the GTR motors exactly where he wants them?
  9. Far too honest. Rye will need to learn fast that that is definitely not the best policy in this league with some of the sharks in the pool. Never shake hands with a promoter in the Premiership, your rings will be gone
  10. Struggling with this one. RH have only ridden one away match so far and he scored 6 + 1 v Swindon
  11. He's very good at colliding with others in the last heat of a British final
  12. Life is so much easier when your reserves score a few. With the 1-5 we have doesn't have to be shedloads either. What Kennett was playing at, God knows.
  13. He knows CMW. If you pop back in the thread to before Adam was released and read the posts from TDM all will become clear.
  14. Despite the warm words on the OS, 'we may not have seen the last of him in Wolves colours', 'helping him to find a new track' (with the appropriate loan fee presumably), it just feels to me that there is more to the dropping of Skornicki than we are being told. Evidence, I have none but the business with his trialling an engine doesn't feel right. If you were a promoter about to sign up a rider for the season you'd run through all sorts of things with them fixtures etc etc. It's implausible that either CVS or Adams didn't discuss equipment, if only to understand how many bikes said rider was going to have available. So in my view there's only 3 possible explanations with Sqora: # No one asked him about his equipment, which would be criminal. # The asked him but he didn't tell the truth. # They knew about the engine trials, in which case the promotion are being economical with the truth at best. Unless Adams & CVS have lost their minds on how the team can be strengthened it all feels a bit rushed.
  15. PK did last year but, to be fair, they were pushing their luck.
  16. Interesting comment underneath. '........No loyalty at wolves they just hire and fire wenever they want it's shocking....'
  17. Try this one. # Monmore was always a better racing surface than Kirky Lane. They were comparable due to their respective sizes. # Monmore and the NSS aren't comparable, they're chalk and cheese. The latter is undoubtedly on the way to being the best of it's type in the country. I say 'on the way' only because it would be unfair to judge it on the evidence of just one season's racing. The former has been the best prepared small track for many years. Personally, I haven't been to a live speedway meeting for years but a meeting at the NSS is on the bucket list, it looks fun!
  18. 5 from 4 at Newcastle, 9 +1 & 10 in the 2 home meetings, both from 4.
  19. No worries. How was the track for the Poole meet? It always seemed a struggle to get Kirky Lane in decent shape for the Good Friday early start.
