I agree. He is a Reading fan who has moved to Swindon and who posts regularly on the Swindon Robins Facebook page using his real name. -
There's been plenty of strange guest situation since I started going back in 1974. Bob Kilby riding against Swindon twice in one evening for 2 different sides. John Davis guesting for Oxford in place of John Davis. I don't see how the Max Fricke example is any worse.

Britain sets its own rules on immigration from Australia and all non EU countries. It's nothing to do with the EU whether Australians can come here or not.

All I know is that Bellego had struggles at times at Swindon last year but I would have been disapointed if this change had been made.
-
Not a move that I, personally, would have been happy with if it was my team. I think it's a panic move based on numbers. Bellego looked good at Belle Vue and would have found form. Kennett is ok, but seems like a pointless change made for change's sake.

Speedway Mentioned On 'The Motorbike Show'
Grachan replied to martinmauger's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I've just realised what The Motortbike Show is. An old friend of mine sometimes appears on it - a guy called Allen Millyard. He's a bit of a bike genius, and we went to school and did an apprenticeship together. He used to fix my FS1-E! -

Also, on the first episode of the program 63 Up they had a cabby on and showed some old footage of him at Hackney stadium from when he was younger. -

It's a bit confusing, because Toby is listed above Adam Ellis on the averages page of the BSPA website, but Adam's average (6.76) is higher than Musielak (6.41). Rather odd, but presumably the averages are correct - meaning Troy wouldn't be able to take a ride. Which weakens us a lot with our weak reserves having to take a couple of the rides. -

Kerr out injured. -
Could have been. I've no idea.

A question for Scunthorpe fans. Who races there called Ed? The reason I ask is I was listening to the radio this morning, and there was a guy on the phone. When he did his "shout outs" he said hi to "everyone at Scunthorpe speedway, where I race". Then he requested a Busted track. Just wondered if anyone knows who it was. If anyone is curious and wants to listen, it was at about 5.55 this morning on Radio One.

I don't agree it needs to be higher. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this rule was part of the reason Zach and James struggled. Whatever happened, they were going to be the lowest average riders in the league. In the past, other sides might have had 2 or 3 pointers in at reserve with whom they were on a par or better than. Instead they were always going to be the weakest riders in the league and every other side had reserves of a much higher standard.

Swindon usually get decent crowds on tv meetings when they run a promotion. When they don't run a promotion the crowd is halved. A good meeting last night. What is it with heat 13 at Belle Vue? Always seems to be a cracker. If racing was like that at Swindon every week I reckon the place would be packed. I remember talking to a Belle Vue fan once while working away, who said he used to love going to Belle Vue speedway, but it had "closed down now unfortunately". This was in the days of when they were at the Greyhound Stadium, but perhaps the same still applies in Manchester. Maybe people simply don't know it's there.

The amount of likes you got for this post just shows how delusional the UK is about Brexit. How is EU law affecting immigration to the UK from Australia? Or are you expecting freedom of movement between the UK and Australia after we leave?

18.9.3 All riders with an MA below the Injured rider may take one IRR ride each. (NB. a reserve can have more than one IRR) Only those below can take a ride if IRR is used. So Adam Ellis could have a ride. (R/R was already being used for Lampart) This big cheat that these people by the pits are coming up with involved: Muslielak (Swindon's third heatleader) chucking a race - 0 points. Then the two reserves being used - pretty much guaranteeing 0 points. Then a ride for Ellis.
-
I don't see why they would need to be lost. If they wanted to ride here they could be fitted in if the maximum converted average was set to 12.00 and averages set at Championship level. If the current standard of rider could be maintained I'd be all for it, and, with so much doubling up nowadays, I think they could.

There was quite a long period when there was no speedway on television at all. I remember a campaign going in Speedway Star to get it shown. To see Hans Nielsen win the World Final in Poland I had to buy a video of it. The coverage we get now on BT (and on Sky previously) is excellent, but it is also very specialised. People aren't going to just put the tv on and stumble across some speedway these days.

I used to do Oxford, Swindon & Reading regularly too. The funny thing is, if it was the same now I wouldn't be able to afford it, which maybe says something about admission costs.
