We'll have Good Friday, the stocks can have Easter Monday. Sorted
-
Buster & JC are businessmen. Surely they won't turn down what is almost certain to be a bumper crowd. Both promotions will want it to happen I'm sure!
-
Pleased to see that it looks like Schrammy has been offered a place in the Stars team for next season. It's in the Get Noticed Online article announcing the signing of Rusty Harrison for the Comets.
-
Good luck to the Brummies if indeed they have moved up as rumoured. Just hope it's not a case of s**t and bust after a season, especially after all the hard work to get the Brummies back on track
-
Looks like the Scum could be heading our way. Bring on Good Friday We better have a good side

Heartily agree with that. It's not just because of the Bjerre situation. It's been going on for years. The likes of Swindon, Peterborough and Poole have been amongst the worst culprits in recent seasons. You shouldn't be able to sign a rider as an asset unless you are using him in your team. It's not a level playing field otherwise. Think this was also the case with NL teams not being able to have riders as assets. They get some kind of development fee or something. They could develop the next best thing and lose him to another club for next to nothing I'd much rather we develop our own assets than be a feeder club for EL teams, even if it didn't mean silverware

Have to say that the promotion have dropped one here. When they said he was signing on for 2011, they should of had his name on a contract and as an asset. I also wish I could say I was surprised about Bjerre heading to Peterborough but I'm not For the good of the team I hope we look elsewhere. I don't see King's Lynn as being a feeder club for anyone, especially not Peterborough Bjerre is a cracking rider but now obviously isn't going to be the future of our club. If he was our asset, I'd happily bring him on then sell him to an EL team as we did with Darcy. That's how PL clubs have to survive, unearth a gem and cash in on him later. There's no guarantee that with Bjerre in the side it will bring success. He's a hell of a talent but did only average 5.80 in his 11 PL meetings. If he was our asset, you'd take the risk for the long term gain. As he's not, thanks very much, now don't let the door hit you on your arse on the way out

I'd be very surprised if that was true but if that is indeed the case, Travis McGowan would be my choice of replacement

Congratulations to Buxton on their wins last night. I doubt there is a speedway fan in the UK who aren't pleased their efforts have been rewarded with some silverware. Nice touch by Jack Lee to see the cup win dedicated to Ken Moss as well Glad to see such a good crowd as well for the final though it was a bit of an endurance event as a spectator but of course the delays couldn't really be helped. I did think the referee could of had the 2 minutes on quicker at times. The racing was worth the waiting around though with some very determined riding and some down right heart in the mouth stuff at times. For the Young Stars, Lambert and Mallett were the biggest points scorers but I was most impressed with Olly Rayson. Made some really good passes and looked very determined. Also continue to be impressed with Lewis Kerr despite a bit of nightmare in the final itself. Great to see Jake picking up some wins as well even if some of his gating was truly shocking at times. For the Hitmen, Allott, Cook and Branford proved a very potent top end, good job Morris was absent and Garrity and Worrell provided plenty of entertainment, though not sure all of it was intentional Another pleasing thing is that judging from the front of the programme it looks like the Young Stars will continue in 2011 with Lewis Kerr indicating that he has already been asked to ride for the team. Now what form the league will take, that is anyones guess! Finally best wishes to Cal and Lewis respectively. A nasty way to end the season for those lads

Kings Lynn 2011 World Cup
ajh replied to horse17's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think the plan was to build 2 new "Royal Boxes" on bends 3-4 but as far as I am aware they haven't applied for the necessary planning permission yet. Also heard rumours that they were looking to build a new stand and bar area on the home straight. Whatever the plans are, got to be one of the only tracks that are actually looking to invest in their facilities -
Any news on the line-up's for Sunday? Hopefully the Young Stars will be lining up something like this: Simon Lambert Lewis Kerr Cal McDade Adam Lowe Darren Mallett Scott Campos Jake Knight Didn't realise that Nick Morris had gone home and with Craig Cook possibly at Rye House on Sunday with Workington, that gives us a fighting chance

Kings Lynn 2011 World Cup
ajh replied to horse17's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Of course I'm biased but delighted that the SWC is back for another year. Only the most bitter of KL haters could deny that the meeting was a success on almost every level. Like Screamer has mentioned, hopefully the new stands that are being planned can be completed in time -
Any news on when the Buxton leg is being staged Mimmo? Is our meeting the 1st or the 2nd leg? Been meaning to go to Buxton for years now and have never managed it yet. Guess this year is as good as any!

Think that's all correct apart from Tero Aarnio is riding in place of the injured Kalle Katajisto. -

Weather is fine in Lynn. A few clouds about but apart from that, a lovely sunny day. Bring it on.. -
Buccs Vs King's Lynn Yss (nlkoc 2nd. Leg)
ajh replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in National League Speedway
I believe Adam Allott is guesting in place of Simon Lambert who is riding for Sheffield in the PL. Didn't realise Brundle had signed for the Buccs So much for the KL claim that he's concentrating on the EL and PL (yeah right) Think it will be tough for the Young Stars to defend 13 points as we're not especially great travellers but I'm sure they'll put up a good show. -
At last it's confirmed

Fantastic news about Darcy. What a season for him and the Stars in general Can't wait to welcome him back to the NA on Tuesday night -
Was thinking of attending this but having second thoughts now that I've seen it's £25 to get in
-
Thanks for the scorecard. Excellent as always

Totally agree with that team and hope that's the one Rob picks.
