  1. Have to agree with that , we had all heard the rumours at the track well before the start and that nonsensical announcement was met with howls of laughter . But back to the racing , ok I know I'm a Tigger and any win at Armadale is special , but I really enjoyed last night and for the first time in a long time I could feel the tension of it all getting to me . Thought we were in control for the first part of the meeting , then thought we had blown it when the Monarchs got a 5-0 followed by a 5-1 to go 6 points ahead , but the comeback led by Mr Maximum was brilliant . I knew if we could get a heat advantage in heat 14 , and get our noses back in front , then Craig would do the rest in the deciding race . I was in hospitality and it's brilliant up there , cracking view of the track and the food is fantastic and the staff so friendly . Made it a special night for my family , so thank you very much Mike Hunter .
  2. That's what he was claiming apparently . And that was the difference , night nurse scored 4 , Howarth would have scored more than that
  3. No , not tonight . You are much stronger than last time plus we have a raw Aussie about to get a taste of Armadale for the first time while Vissing has entered his mid season slump
  4. In your own strange way , you're actually agreeing with Sharpen Rake . Whether Ruddick made it to the first corner or not is irrelevant, he scored zero and Coles should score at least a couple which puts you favourites to win even forgetting the increased scoring potential of Palovaara and Howarth
  5. The days of that kind of nonsense are a distant memory thankfully . Speedway knows that kind of behaviour won't be tolerated anymore
  6. This is true , the forum has been rubbish this season . And you might not be a million miles from the truth for one of the reasons
  7. Of course you're stronger , Howarth instead of Wethers !!!!! Howarth could score more on his own than what Wethers , Sedgmen and Ruddick scored together in the Shield match . So the usual downplaying of their chances by the salt and sauce mob won't wash this time . But I'll be there tonight in red and white hoping against hope that our boys can do it again .
  8. Where are you Blobby ? Does nobody care anymore , back in the day we'd have been slagging each other off for about 10 pages by now . Another symptom of the malaise surrounding our sport these days . Nobody is up for a laugh on here these days. Anyway as for the match , we are at full strength , although how young master Bailey negotiates his first foray into technical track speedway is anybodies guess . While the forces of darkness have Howarth for Pickering , drafted in Palovaara for the disappointing Sedgmen and Coles for Ruddick , which makes them a fair bit stronger than the Shield meeting .
  9. No , he won the PLRC the year it was held at Swindon . By the time his career had reached Glasgow , he was a major disappointment
  10. We don't have a home match next Friday , neither do Scunny , why can't we have it next Friday ?
  11. Can some kind person keep us up to date with the weather down there later , I'll be leaving home about 12 , but can access this on my phone , thanks
  12. That rule was changed years ago , anything goes now
  13. You are correct , it was something like the first three inches was cut off the tape , there was also a Paisley v Newcastle meeting where Tom Owen got thrown out of the meeting , can't remember if it was the same one or not .
  14. Proctor hasn't really clicked for Sheffield , looked good last year in that all conquering Workington side , but tonight it was back to previous year's Ashfield visits . Yes there was one or two instances tonight where Sheffield riders got in each other's way a bit .
  15. It backfired a bit , your reserves were good , Andersen wasn't
  16. Echo that , I enjoyed the meeting , there were some decent races , especially 13 and 14 . I had my doubts about the Jensen signing in the winter , but I've been proved wrong , he was awesome again tonight . All in all that was a strong team performance against a decent outfit .
  17. Sorry , yes his machinery hasn't arrived yet , so he hasn't been declared I'm our septet . So therefore the guest is for Chessel
  18. Hopefully we get the chance to finish the job now , after securing a wonderful draw in Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago . Connor Coles continues to guest at number 6 as new signing, Connor Bailey , is waiting on his machinery arriving from down under . Sheffield should be at full strength so we cant afford to be complacent as there are one or two in their side who enjoy it round Ashfield . The Sheffield fan's new favourite Scottish referee will once again preside over the action in what should be another entertaining encounter at the premier Scottish venue .
  19. Oh I dont know , it raised a cheer or two on the third bend
  20. Spotted Victor Palovaara there last night , so who's for the chop then ?
  21. Going to be a great night , atmosphere will be good , with the 3rd bend red and white . Would love to turn them over as they have been riding their luck at home , but we shall see
  22. Had to be a reserve for a tapes offence . But with the meeting already won , why risk Craig off 15metres ?
  23. If we can somehow leave with a point it will be a great start to our campaign .Eastbourne shouldn't need the same level of tactical awareness their management showed last night though
