  1. i feel the same .. first rode a speedway bike at Hyde Road, Belle Vue, learnt at Milton Keynes training track and Hackney, had one meeting for Arena Essex, then signed for Canterbury, after they closed i did part season at Reading, then finished up at Exeter ... and i grew up going to Wimbledon
  2. so with having someone owning more tracks knowing full well he doesn't pay over the odds isn't a start?
  3. no, but you can't change things all in one go can you?
  4. people will moan no matter what came out of the AGM, it's all part of speedway
  5. if Peterborough are CL i doubt that'll happen, i'm sure Rob isn't a fan of all the travelling
  6. maybe whatever TV money comes in should be used as prize money?
  7. if Sundays are no longer an option to run then that's a very sad situation at Peterborough. Sunday was definitely the more popular raceday picking up many supporters from places like Kings Lynn and Leicester, which doubt will happen so much on a weeknight. i wonder if this was one of the issues that prompted Ged to sell .. shame, things were certainly picking up running sundays
  8. why would he need to leave Kings Lynn? put someone in to run either
  9. that's why i think if it's anything to do with the riders it will stay as it is. i have thought for a long time that the AGM should be held during the July SWC break, with discussions every month with every promoter
  10. surely someone can be owner and someone else promoter
  11. apparently they still have to attend or they will be fined
  12. team manager? Dale to Peterborough?
  13. i used to drive the minibus for Norwich Ladies FC to the away games, shouldn't be too difficult getting a driver for speedway meetings
  14. from my point of view, if it's top league then it won't be Sunday meetings, and that's where the better crowds are
  15. i predict Kings Lynn will top the team vote but Poole will win on a technicality
  16. got to be Sunday afternoons from a business perspective, or there will be more trouble ahead .... Nicholls Kennett Starke Bacon Palm-Toft would do me for starters
  17. So would Ed Kennett be a guest option? Doing well in his return on the grass and knows Rye House very well, was also signed by Peterborough earlier in the season
  18. If it’s rerun at Rye House, is Ed Kenneth eligible to guest for Peterborough seeing as he signed earlier in the season and then got injured?
  19. If this fixture carries on much longer Peterborough will have a full team again
  20. Ivan Mauger's Circle Industries red, white, and blue were my favourites for years. Hans Nielsen in all black with the white ECCO sponsor were cool too
