I must admit as a neutral, i did expect a lot of 60 plus scores at central park this season. Ledwith and Rowe have exceed my expectations, but Kemp and Jenkins are not at last seasons level yet. Although in fairness Jordan has been hampered by injuries, as have Spooner and the Kings star reserves.

Is Boxall still on a ban, Bowtell on the orher hand would be a great signing for any NL club.
-
Not according to Jon Cook!!!
-
A decent meeting tonight with the kings falling short against a strong Belle Vue side. 15 year old Jake Mulford looked very impressive on his debut, with a sensational ride in heat 4 that brought the house down!

Dry in the garden of England now, with the sun trying to poke its nose out.

No race day update on the Kent website this morning, which is unusual. There are a few showers around at the moment, which wasn't in the earlier forecasts.

Eastbourne v Scunthorpe - Sat 22JUN19

Last night far exceeded my expectations. A real battling performance from a patched up Scunny side. Broc Nicol was excellent, aggressive and fearless. -
I think the racing was closer not necessarily better. Today is all about flying machines on ultra slick tracks. It was a lot more of a level playing field before the four valvers came into play.
-
This meeting has been kicked from pillar to post for years, so this is no suprise. I remember Coventry stepped in to stage it because no one else wanted to. The NL pairs usually gets the same treatment.

Fingers crossed the generator keeps going!

You and me both, but i'll still be there. Us speedway nomads in the South East have very little else. -

You can't always dress mutton up as lamb, not for £18 including prog. -
Another event to remove from my calendar. I've done one meeting at Stoke this season, two would be pushing it.

Awful line up, they will do well to get past 25. Not a meeting for the neutrals. -
I thought there was some decent racing at Wood Lane for a big track, not as good as West Ham, but far better than Wembley.

Democracy is a dirty word in this country at the moment. Why should speedway be any different.

Can't argue with that. I've seen him ride three times this season and he only dropped 1 point in 17 rides. -
Scunny and Somerset back that up. Two great race tracks that don't pull in the punters. If the sport was force fed to the public by the media like football, it might have a chance. The vast majority of people have never heard of speedway.

Too right, probably my favourite in the 1970's & 80's. I used to enjoy Sheffield more than Hyde Road.

The parade is fine when it's 6.15, but too many times it can be nearer to 6.25. With a two hour curfew it needs to be done and dusted before 6.30.
