  1. Most important thing is that you stomp up the cash on racedays!
  2. Great post. Explains all perfectly. We have all had riders with the 'Hall' effect. Glen Cunningham and Simon Walker for the Rebels spring to mind.
  3. Or potentially Newcastle! Where has that man gone?
  4. The Christmas/Winter Cracker was covered here and nothing to do with the Somerset PL team for 2013. Okay you are technically correct that the topic is 'Latest Update From Oak Tree Arena'. P.S. Kyle was unlucky not to qualify having a non-start in one heat. Looked good otherwise.
  5. Well he would be PARKED up if he was in a horse box, otherwise he would just be aimlessly wondering about.
  6. Seems like it is Josh Bates for the Scorpions then.
  7. Absolutely. I genuinely thought I had opened the wrong thread, closed it only to find that it was the Sheffield thread. Or is it the Shielfield thread?
  8. While Doyley was still stuck out in Oz. I think we would have gone with our full PL team if not. Exactly.
  9. Wow! That is quite some sponsor and a very appropriate one too considering the area. Good one the 'New Holland Bandits' promotion.
  10. Have you been reading the BSPA website, talking to Rob Godfrey or just plain psychic?
  11. Well I thought it was that your highest average rider had to be no.1 and your two lowest were at reserve. Other than that, I thought that anything goes. (Or was that only for one week before and after a full moon and on bank holidays?) I just can't keep up these days! I await the 'shooting down in flames'.
  12. Yes and I have to wait for our last PL fixture to see the Bandits . Normally it is about May/June if my memory serves me correctly. They know how to keep me hanging on!
  13. Mmm. You know what happens when you gamble. More often than not, you loose. You have got to be extremely lucky to win on an 4 way accumulator. Good luck.
  14. Well they did have a trial run at reduced admission last season so they must have an idea of how it will work out. There is not a lot of cash in the borders so perhaps they need to try something to attract customers. As I should know, it is a funny old place! By the way OT, we gave the OTA a try for Sunday lunch and it was spot on.
  15. While poor old Berwick struggle to attract sponsors, Somerset seem to attract them in abundance with a new team partner and new team associate. This is great news for the Rebels. That makes a Team Sponsor, six Team Partners and five Team Associates. Not bad for a team with a track in a field! Sorry 'seanmuffe'. Didn't last too long at #1. Story of the 2013 season for the Witches?
  16. Excellent post. Hope the Devils do well but not as well as your South West neighbours .
  17. Somerset have team partners who I believe help sponsor the club but are not recognised as the main sponsor who the club are named after and presumably stomp up more cash. It may be something along the same lines.
  18. Great news. My home town team survive. Here's to us thrashing them at the OTA (and possibly Shielfield) once again . I have to say though that the Bandits look as good as they have ever done so it could be a good meeting. Our first two encounters were draws but that was in the early days for the Rebels.
  19. Where have I heard this before, and before, and before?
  20. If Tom cracks whimping out into the first bend I think he could add significantly to his average. He gates as well as any but backs off into the first turn, which is so frustrating. If he didn't and got a nose in front, he would add quite a few points each meeting. Instead he has to earn a lot of his points from the back, which is good for us to watch, but poor in his pay packet. So come on Tom, exercise those balls.
  21. Oops, missed your reply. Discodaz spot on. You might to check this out.Don't forget the "Christmas Cracker"!
  22. Unless you are Sam Masters who did it in 2010 and ended on a season average of 6.72! So chin up, it is possible. I'm sure there are many many more.P.S. Funny how you are all saying about James Wright what we were all saying last year. Good luck.
