Wanna bet this rule doesnt exist next year as it will have done its job to divvy the riders out this year.

He He stevie boy, nice stir, The grading system is in all likelyhood here for 1 year only to prevent a reoccurance of the the one big league fiasco where some teams had no real heatleaders., so dont get too attached to it, The guests rule in principle looks good, but i pity teams that lose a their 2nd and 3rd heatleaders only to be replaced by PL riders, some real gubbings to be seen then. Or will special dispensation be seen? Can see this rule being revised once the sangria has cleared from the brains. The tac sub rule makes me laugh, again protecting poor riders and will squash the averages up even more than before. Tbh if the el wanted to save money they might as well ahve gone to 6 man teams, that had more credibity than this. Overall once the fine detail filters out we can get a clearer picture, but i cant help feeling another rules meeting will be held in Jan/Feb once ppl get thinking of the implications of some of these changes.

Agreed 110% lets watch all the teams sign assessed riders who mysteriously struggle then suddenly regain their form when their team strengthens up. There will be more teams to add to the scroll of dishonour like Hull 2001, Newcastle 2000 to 2003, and all the usual suspects in the EL.

In effect its basically rider control all over again.

Plus me. canterbury = 1 line track

Could see the point of heat 14 being moved back as it just encourages ppl to throw heat 13 now. But why do they keep protecting the reserves and 2nd strings??? If they want to be heatleaders they have to beat the top riders..... Oh well will just mess the averages up more.

It appears that the GRA purchased Perry Barr Stadium last week, maybe something will happen?

As the decision is being made for no other reason that of so called reducing the costs logic plays no part in the farce of going as low as 40. All the promoters in favour of 40 want is a pool of unemployed riders available to force wages down. Such thinking should have gone out years ago. A 40 point limit will just reduce the quality of the PL and put more cheap wobblers into the league. If their are teams that cant afford to build to 45 in the PL then they should drop to the CL

Yawn typical BMF there, although it does show what the terminaly uniterested think of the sport. This year has been a bad one for rules and messing around with teams, the blc being a good example. EL speedway needs to decide if its having squads or not? and to decide if they are the panacea ppl think they are. Cant see any squad helping with the absence of GP riders at all..

Jason easily, how ppl can compare these 2 as similar is beyond me -
If 9 teams are seen as being no good for the EL why should 2 9 team leagues be any good for the PL?
-
Looks like ur on a loser with this one mylor.

Get real.... 1) what would Edinburgh score in this years EL with their PL winning team? 2) Were would the cash come from to improve the team? As its well known that promotion in itself wont pay for it. 3) how many EL stars would be interested in riding for Edinburgh? 4) bearing such things as above in order what would you do if any PL team refused promotion?

Keep stirring JJ, nowt wrong with Ollie and Jamie in the U21. Will Zagar continue to show his class over Bjerre like he did last year in the U19. Is Bjerre going to underchieve yet again when the pressure is on? -
