  1. Its off, the GP that is not BSI's collective Knackers
  2. Hmmm lucky ef for bjerre when behind knudsen or it would have been another meeting to add to last years U19 WC where the "hot fav" Bjerre blew it.
  3. Pete Toogood is the Vice Chairman actually this year, Alex was last years.
  4. Hostory suggests that the EL promoters largely dont operate like that.
  5. Err dont think we ended up in a position that wasnt expected, we made the final but were beaten by better riders. But the loss is that the likes of Norris will not be around for much longer, we could ahve taken some kids along for the experience and still finished in the same place. Look at sweden they took the likes of Ljung and didnt waste time with the likes of danno and FWC andersem.
  6. So a few pl clubs should be thrown to wolves to improve your viewing, ask your beloved CVS why he allowed with others the EL to get like it is?? Plus i really doubt any EL riders would like riding at worky due to the travelling, look what happend when the bspa had to really twist neil evitts arms to get him to sign for Halifax back in the 80s. Bottom line, PL are still suspicous of certain el promoters after the amalgamated league. The BLC would have built bridges, but cos of the usual suspects the divisions are as large as ever.
  7. But who are the champs and who were the also rans.
  8. Unlucky for the aussiesm, but lyons big performance was too much to over come. Nice to see the Swedes had faith in their kids and didnt look back to the failures like stefan danno and stefan "FWC" andersen.
  9. Thats the difference, the spot in the final was likely even with the weakened team, but to get carried away with beating the minnows was the wrong attitude. The final showed that reality hurts.
  10. Hmmm it could be seen as that, better edit it quick LOL
  11. Too true Gemini, its easy to beat a rag tag collection of russians and slovenians, but come the big test all bar Nicholls flopped badly as predicted. How anyone can claim making the final was a big deal is amazing, even the team Team England put out should have made the final with ease.
  12. i agree that the bjerre/pedersen swap was a bad move, but gjedde certainly proved he was worth his place.
  13. So where are you Derwent? So did he do better than expected against that opposition???? Dont think so.........
  14. Not surprised Iversen was dropped fro Gjedde, but Bjerre being dropped is an odd one. As Bjerre is better than Ronnie Pedersen.
  15. Nope i'm just saying the moaning minnie couldnt fail to score what he did considering he is allegedly a EL star. Norris is a joke and tbh Team england would have been better off haking harris and stead who probably would have scored the same.
  16. Dont also forget that some EL promoters are happy to run at a loss to work with their other business iinterests. I cant think of any PL teams that do that.
  17. Given the the opposition i dont think the scores of floppy are anything other than what he SHOULD have scored. However will he do the business in the repercharge round where the opposition will be more with it.
  18. I predict it will be totally boring and that aussie will win.
  19. Christiensen was a powerhouse US domestic rider in the 80s, one of US top guys then and much sought after by the UK promoters but he never came across.
  20. Only one saddo on this thread, predictably a wolves fan, your so tounge in cheek it must hurt with all your ernest trolling. All in a worthy companion to lupus.
  21. Dump Norris and Havelock and take Harris, Stead, Ollie Allen and ed Kennett along for the ride, as what ever team england put out will beat the weaker teams but will get canned by the top seeds.
  22. NP deserves 110% of what he gets here, he nowt more than a danger to other riders as gollob found out. I pity Denmark having to get behind a jerk like Nicki, hope risager/bjerre/Bjarne P/Gjedde/Hans Andersen can come through and show Denmark what a real rider is like. Well done Leigh Adams, a real racer and a gentleman on and off the track
