I thought I remembered that Tim Hunt and John Louis had a coming together at Foxhall on the 3rd/4th bends when JL came back with Halifax in 1981 and thought that Tim Hunt moved from Ipswich to Reading in 1982, a year after JL had left the Witches. Certainly remember Hunt going ape, storming around on the track and losing it big time. All this after JL had mentored Hunt in his early career. And I was disappointed with the reaction of the Witches supporters, including one who went on to be the Team Manager, around me that evening, who all had a go at Louis after his tremendous service to the Club. It's ok supporting your team, but another, in my book, having a go like that at one of your club's greatest ever riders.

Unfortunately, the scheduled fixture at Rosebank on Sunday between the Auckland Rhinos and the Southland Outlaws has been cancelled due to the inability of the Southland side being able to raise sufficient riders to travel to Auckland. That makes no sense BV72. If the Club are going to allocate a seat to Advance Purchase tickets then they should have allocated seats to Season Tickets. In other sports that I have bought season tickets for, I have been offered a tour of the stadium to enable me to chose where I wanted to sit. I'd revert to the Club and have a word about this, as they seem to have missed a trick here if they haven't allocated Section, Row and Seat numbers to Season Ticket holders.

Well, HKP, I believe that Castagna will have to start the 2017 season on a minimum 5.00 average whether he attains that level or not during 2016 as, if I understand it correctly, all foreign riders, including Europeans, be they new to the PL or not, will be assessed/re-assessed on a minimum 5.00 PL average for the 2017 season.

I'm reading it that Klindt won't be riding in the fixtures that are marked in red on his racing calendar, which means that, currently, he will ride for the Scorpions only in the League Cup matches: on 17th March away at Ipswich; on 20th March at home to Ipswich (he is missing his Polish club's challenge match at Zielona Gora on this date); on 27th March at home to Sheffield. and on 7th April away at Sheffield He will miss Scunthorpe's match on 1st April away at Peterborough as he is due to ride for Leicester away at Lakeside and will not ride on 10th April at home to the Panthers as his Polish club are riding at Rzeszow. The PL match at the OTA on 15th April clashes with his SGP & SEC qualifiers in Denmark. But it's official title is 'National Development League' and it is named thus as it is meant to be the entry level league dedicated to the training and development of young home grown riders. I haven't made that up, the quote in my previous post was extracted straight from the 2015 Speedway Regulations issued by the SCB and it doesn't change because your opinion is that it is not a development league. Development does not just happen from novice level.

Was this the reason John Louis was disqualified from the British Nordic Final in 1973? I can remember JL being disqualified after getting enough points to qualify for the next round, but can't remember the exact reason now. Always thought 1973 could've been his best year in the World Championship.
