For quite a few years Scotty has been accused of being a woos, not being hard enough and backing off instead of going for it. Now, at last, we are seeing some real passion in his riding and of course some aggression, which riders must have to compete at the top level, but now he is being slated for being dirty. Its no good saying "after you" to everyone that challenges his position, what use would that be. Scott wants to be World Champion one day, as does probably every speedway rider in the world but to get to the top he has got to compete with the top riders in the world at their level. Guts and determination and pure adrenalin has got Jason Crump and Hans Andersen where they are at the moment, probably the best 2 riders in the world. Scott has got to match that to succeed and sometimes decisions go for you and sometimes against you. Scott has had his fair share of things going against him in the past. I'm not saying he has to ride dirty to win, but it is bloody tough out there and no-one will give you an inch. I bet every speedway rider in the world has been on the rough end of a refereeing decision, but you win some and you lose some, tonight it was Scotts turn for good luck.
