  1. Very surprised at Fricke's decision to head so far North. I'm sure he had other offers, and has gone against the advice of some keen observers no doubt. On the other hand i'm sure Horwood would have taken a huge chunck off any hand offering him a deal.
  2. I'll take any bets that Horwood will not be anywhere near best newcomer.
  3. Very big step for any young Aussie. Will do well to maintain the 5 point average in my opinion.
  4. Getting the pronounciation of the last signing right may take a while
  5. Stretching this out aren't they? Record Thursday night beer sales at the OTA.
  6. I think Royno was at fault yes, but thats racing. The main talking point seems to be about the referee changing his mind after being influemced by someone who basically shouldn't have been anywhere near the referees box. Lets face it refs generally do not change their minds. Get well soon Adam, surely the unluckiest rider in speedway, time to seriously consider his future in the sport after so many bad injuries I think.
  7. White takes out blue in my opinion. Neilsen has a good look then throws his body and back wheel into Roynon. Can't see how it could possibly be called any other way if the video was looked at.
  8. Should be two cracking meetings, looks fairly even to me. My thoughts on the Sam Masters issue, well I know if I was sacked / deprived of earning money, I'd certainly give my all to make my former boss regeret their decision....could be a great choice of guest, and I bet its playing on the mind of certain people. If Auty is fully fit and Nick Morris can improve on his previous OTA performances, I think Scunny may well shade this....just.
  9. He's definately not ok. Takle a look at a slow motion replay of last nights crash. He is not fit to ride, and thats unfortunate. To suggest he has other motives is ludicrous.
  10. It was a very drawn out meeting held on a bitterly cold night. Once again any hope of drawing casual observers back has been lost...it was pushing the patience of many die hard speedway people so what hope have we got of any part timers enjoying it? I guess any hard riding which took place can be partly attributed to not having a cat in hells chance of passing without making a forceful move... Incidentally Alex Davies was quite severely concussed, and Nick Morris had damage to both hands and a knee (as well as a bike almost completely written off, engine n all) Davies had rode brilliantly all night and was in line for a paid maximum, prior to being escorted to the fence.
  11. If Bridger's huge shove on Alex Davies was an unsatisfactory start i'll start watching table tennis. That was a ridiculous decision, Bridger clearly caused Davies to take what ended up being a nasty fall, and it was deliberate. Referring inconsistencies particularly relating to false starts and first bend incidents are a real issue in speedway, needs to be sorted.
  12. Morris is flying out on Friday morning and reluctantly misses the Edinburgh meeting ( because the bikes have to go earlier). Darcy will miss practice.
  13. Is there anywhere we can follow this meeting? Nothing on the updates website as yet.
  14. Its proving very difficult to get any info about activities in and around Auckland....Speedway related. Only two weeks away from the opening Grand Prix and with hundreds of foreign visitors descending on the city, surely now is the time to start plugging any additional meetings, or activities.. I'm not even sure if the Kiwis know whats going on???????
