  1. Hope you find somewhere, but big convention on that weekend. Travel Plus were going to stay in Malmo originally, only on the otherside of the water from Copenhagen and plenty of trains too and from.
  2. Was this meeting as bad as it came over on Sky? We may knock the temporary tracks, but they are heaps better than this fiasco. BSI are in great danger of making out sport a mockery. The only thing that came over good was the startline girl who kept blowing kisses, was she trying to get a part in television of films? To think I really wanted to go to this meeting. Mind you according to Tony Millard, there was was a capacity crowd of 10,000, so probably would not have got in, why were there so may empty seats?
  3. Thanks for start time info. Maybe Sky are not doing it live this time.
  4. What time does meeting start please. Sky transmitting at 7pm. Latvia supposed to be two hours in front of us, so that would make it 9pm start???
  5. Have they confirmed the start time for this GP yet? I know it was a late start last year.
  6. Hansfan, hope your luggage turns up soon, usually does in a few days. Suggest you write and complain to SAS, I have in the past and do intend to this time. Do not know what day and flight you came back on, but someone I know tried to get back Sunday morning and due to the long queue, out of the airport, missed the flight and finally arrived Birmingham, Monday morning via Brussels. We came back on the Monday night flight and fortunately joined the queue three hours before takeoff. Not sure whether it is SAS or Copenhagen airport that needs to get its act together, there are always problems.
  7. Had my tickets direct from Italy, delivered in a few days from order ages ago
  8. Think BSI should reconsider using Parken stadium as a venue for GP. It is a disgrace for a national stadium. Filthy dirty, pigeon droppings on hand rails, seats dirty and rubbish everywhere. Must be a fire risk, as smoking is allowed, mind you guess the mindless idiots who threw beer around would have put the flames out. Track seemed better and did not appear to break up as much as usual tempory tracks. Usual chaos at Copenhagen airport does not help visiting fans either. Long queues to check in, conveyor belt broken down, and most flights out delayed by a considerable time. Might not be a bad idea to go back to Vojens!
  9. Think this ticket delay should be taken up with BSI, they have been entreating fans to book tickets since end of last year, so it is unreasonable, that someone has been sitting on money without sending out goods until now. I have said before, Denmark deliver in three days from order and even Italy send out within 14 days.
  10. Cannot understand why it takes Cardiff so long. Denmark deliver in three days and Italy have only taken just under two weeks.
  11. As always the track is prepared to Ole Olsens instructions. Even Malilla in Sweden, but the rain spoiled that and the Swedish track was able to relay it to give some great racing. Incidently why did Sky pull the plug early. For the first time there is a British rider on the podium and we were not able to witness the presentation.
  12. I think I managed to order tickets yesterday, but took several hours to find the TicketOne site. Think I Asked Jeeves. Ticketone sell tickets for lots of major events in Italy and did not make sense that site was down for two days. Mind you with booking fee and special courier delivery they do not come cheap. The site was in Italian, but it is possible to translate it into English using Alta Vista toolbar. but there was an English flag on the Ticketone site to be clicked on. However sure the site via Speedway World will be running soon. In the meantime keeping fingers crossed that what I did yesterday will mean tickets will be in my hands next week. Good luck to everyone, you have to persevere at this game.
  13. This new old format is much better, far easier to fill the programme in for one thing. Also much fairer as riders have to come off different gates and ride against each other at least once. The only problem I can see is the points system and it might have been better to have omitted the semis and final and riders kept the points they scored in main meeting. When you consider that TR could have scored 15 in the main meeting and only finished with 16 by coming fourth in the final, whilst a win from AL in the final would have given him 25 for just scoring 8 in the main. At least we get to see more of the riders now and takes speedway back to the more credible sport instead of the its a knockout!
  14. Has anyone any thoughts as to when stadium tickets for Lonigo might go on sale. Also are they increasing the capacity as 8000 does not seem very much room to me,when there were 35000 at Wroclaw
  15. BSI say they hope to confirm date for Lonigo in next two weeks
  16. I ordered tickets on Monday, and have printed them off. At least I hope I have tickets. Since I ordered the site states tickets not for sale yet.
  17. Yes indeed Lonigo still provisional. When is BSI going to confirm, no good booking flights accommodation etc., and then finding it is off.
  18. Some tickets half price on the day last year, so what is all the rush to buy now
  19. Biggest problem at Cardiff was that you could not hear what Sam was saying, but that applied to the 'entertainment' as well. Or were we all deafened by the noise. Have not had any trouble in previous years, so conclude the acoustis were not right this year. However the entertainment on the track more than made up for it
  20. Wroclaw is a proper speedway track, end of story. Racing should be ok, and certainly cannot be as bad as that served up on the one off tracks, that BSI seem to persist with.
  21. Do not think it is compulsory for riders to attend the Friday practice this year. Do not think anyway they let you in at Copenhagen and Cardiff. Gothenburg you can usually see and bump into the riders anyway as they park their vans across the road. Prague, you usually see them walking about near the track and in the town. There is normally a nominal fee to gain entrance to watch, where you are allowed in.
  22. Put simply there is not going to be a German GP, not this year anyway. There was quite a change round on dates and venues from that originally mooted. Suspect no stadium in Germany could come up with the money and guarantees required by BSI
  23. Have discovered today that BMIbaby are to start running flights to Prague from London Gatwick, April onwards. At the moment prices are cheap compared with other airports, airlines, around £80 return
  24. www.duo.com fly Birmingham/Stockholm (main airport at Arlanda) Prices not as cheap as Ryan air. For example fly out Friday return Monday about £130 return
  25. Depends where you want to fly from. Ryanair, from Stansted for example, however be prepared for long journey on the transfer bus from whichever airport you land at in Sweden.
