As a result of Sheffield going PL, does that not mean they will now be available to other CL sides in 2020? Were Wolbert & Aspgren's last seasons in the UK not at second tier level, which would be used as for their GSA. If you had followed Aspgren's form overseas & in the SGP qualifiers this Season, it suggests he would be potential CL heat material now. Likewise both Lyager & Jepessen have improved considerably their overseas results Huckenbeck & Nilsson would still be eligible for the CL , as was the likes of Craig Cook (10.19), Edward Kennett (9.35) & Sam Masters(10.79) in 2019, despite their initial high starting averages. Oh and David Bellego on a PL GSA of 5.80 is another potential CL heat leader signing btw.

If Cook does not experience the mechanical problems he had on Saturday, then he together with Rasmus Jensen are likely to go through the card on Tuesday. Likewise the Glasgow reserves should outscore their Lions counterparts who enjoyed a 9 - 2 advantage at Beaumont Park. I also cannot envisage Worrall scoring as much as guest Lawson's 11 on Saturday. Therefore expect Tigers to comfortably win by more than 12, and even if it went to an aggregate draw, who would bet against Cook & Rasmus Jensen winning the initial Golden Heat for Glasgow?

IMO Glasgow, with Rasmus Jensen as currently the best rider in the CL, & Vissing riding better than ever, will be the title favourites. Stewart Dickson's choice of guests for Richie Worrall over the two legs will be crucial, and I would guess, if permitted ( given the loose wording of SCB 18.1.9), he might go for Jake Allen/Lewis Kerr at Ashfield, & Richard Lawson for the home leg).

IMO Cook & Jensen are the red hot favourites based on their current form, with Somerset likely to be their main rivals. The other semi-finalists if Howarth is now fit enough to ride with King, I reckon will be Sheffield, together with Leicester

Bit harsh, he was leading heat 4, when on the last lap, he locked up and came down. Cameron then hit Garrity's bike which acted as ramp to propel him through the air, a la Freddie Lindgren. into the air fence. It looked like CW might have smashed in to his own handlebars, and it was subsequently announced as resulting in apparently a possible broken rib. To be fair it was a simple fall by Garrity, and nothing reckless about Jason's riding, who immediately went over to apologise to Cam. Despite the scoreline, there was some decent racing, with Garrity inflicting Masters only defeat in the final race. Although Garrity's travel problems are a source of irritation and criticism, when he is on his game on the track, he is well worth watching.

The match report I read stated:- Heats 3 and 4 were raced in torrential rain causing difficulty for the riders to see with the meeting referee refusing to pause for the thunderstorm to pass over. A track inspection was called for following heat 4 purely to create time for the rain to stop and to allow the fallen water to soak into the surface. A sensible course of action which allowed racing to improve upon resumption. As the video clip you refer to is heat 8, any chance you can provide similar video evidence for either heat 3 or 4 in order to debunk the claim of torrential rain during these races?
