  1. That’s just playing a game, I didn’t play, I developed it in full and ran it for the benefit of others, and for 90% of its lifetime it was free to play, despite countless hours it took to run it, have you ever done anything that benefits speedway fans across the globe off your own back for free?
  2. Really so your name on your passport is Doners123 is it? Just face it, your promoter let social media get to him and decided to rant in the star about it and make himself look stupid. I started watching speedway in the 80s and know more about the sport than the likes of you and Lewy will ever know. And yes I have rode speedway albeit as an amateur, and for over 12 years I ran a very successful speedway management game which people from all around the world took part in. your welcome
  3. A seagull could drop it guts on the Plymouth track and it will be called off, it’s a very delicate track, even more delicate than promoter Phillips ego
  4. We are now into September and as It’s been demonstrated that Plymouth are incapable of running a meeting unless they get a few days of dry weather they might as well call it now, forfeit the home leg and jump to the second at a track where they can get meetings on in less than favourable conditions. Pathetic comments from Mark Phillips in this weeks Star.
  5. I find it ironic that their promotion with their fake rain offs and cancellations have cost themselves a better play off spot. I do feel sorry for their fans and their riders though, because they are victims in this too.
  6. Lakeside was small but it was pretty wide, especially on the corners, Plymouth by comparison looks frighteningly tiny & narrow, it reminds me of some of those tiny tracks they have in the states except more dangerous.
  7. I believe back in 1991 Arena Essex came back from 27-9 down to win at Exeter 44-46
  8. Quite right about Jason Doyle, I remember him being a fairly standard string string for years, then he came on a bundle and is where he is now. But if you want to talk about late Bloomers, look no further than John Louis.
  9. Well done to Sam Masters, its weird having possibly the top rider in the top flight win the second division riders championship but that's where we are now in this country. Every rider gave it their all apart from Batchelor who should have refused the booking and let someone else have a go instead, even Bomber despite starting slow and knowing he could not make the semi finals, still rode his socks off trying to get some points and entertain the crowd. I thought the track was ok, dirt line a bit too close to the fence for most riders liking but plenty were prepared to put their back wheels there, at least with Poole you know they will try and get the meetings on, its a wide track with plenty of room to race.
  10. Will he come out for his last ride? Or will he cry off sighting bike problems, either way not trying to race is disrespectful to travelling Oxford fans.
  11. Should be a comfortable home win but I said that for Redcar against Glasgow and got that totally wrong. But surely the top four of Worrall, Flint, Palm Toft and Andersen, should be enough?
  12. Tigers deserved that win, cracking night of speedway
  13. If that 16 comes to tapes its going to be a very competitive meeting, more than worthy of the name "riders Championship"
  14. I was thinking Rowley Birkin QC from the fast show
  15. Looking forward to this, Redcar is a great track. Comfortable home win I think
  16. What’s with all this bitterness towards Kim Nilsson?
  17. Well done Poole for getting the meeting on, goes to show what can be done if you really try. Another very professional performance from the BSN crew, getting the views from the ref on the night was something different.
  18. Lakesides issue wasn’t that they kept calling meetings off 24 hours in advance, it was some guy throwing his toys because he didn’t like another track hundreds of miles away running the same night that his club ran.
  19. Wait for one or two to return or try and sign replacements if it’s long term. Clearly some clubs are in no rush to complete their fixtures because of calling meetings 24 hours ahead of time so whether it’s the weather or a lack of a team, what difference does it make, the outcome is the same.
  20. Meeting should not have been called off because of the weather but because Plymouth could not field a side. The embarrassment of the championship pairs where they scored zero (Roynon’s points should not have counted) summed it up. Not there fault for all the injuries but you can’t call that sort of side anything other than a “select”
  21. I support the idea of the meeting being moved to Belle Vue, in theory is should be a lot easier to improve the track at Cardiff than make the area that Belle Vue is in more suited to a day long event, but they have had years of practice, and still cannot get it right.
  22. It’s so obvious some riders don’t fancy it tonight, not even completing a lap before pulling up. Morris is scoring but clearly riding within himself. Fortune will favour the brave
  23. Will probably be a dust bowl too in this weather, unless a lot of shale goes down to retain as much moisture as possible.
