  1. Perhaps Silver is banking on Garrity making that step up. Nelson is gonna be very rusty and will take a while to get back in the groove. Still not convinced he'll be over.
  2. Take out Lambert and you'd have enough points for someone like Ricky Kling Must be a very good reason why Silver thought with 6.87 points to play that Simon Lambert was the ideal choice to complete the line up, but there again I'm only a supporter, what do I know?
  3. Silver is usually loathe to drop riders from the side, however poorly they're performing. Ritchie Hawkins is a prime example. He'd have been kept in the side had he not he decided to call it a day. Let's be honest, we all know who's place is in jeopardy when Luke decides the time is right to return.
  4. Silver was quoted saying that he doesn't look at the points when building a side. Astonishing!
  5. Red Dan makes a good point. None of us know how the finances of speedway work. We don't know what the weekly turnover is. Neither could we know how much goes out in riders wages, flights and the costs of running the stadium. Do we really want the promotion to do a Newport. Gamble on a trophy winning side with no guarantee that the crowds will turn up? Far be it for me to defend Silver, I'm obviously not on his Christmas card list, but perhaps this is the best he could do with the finances available.
  6. I thought as much. Makes it a little less attractive
  7. I'm yet to be convinced. Even if he does I'm not aware that he's been racing regularly in Australia, so will be very rusty. I'm not sure how commited he is. Rye teams have been built under the limit for years. Im sure no Rye House supporter is surprised.
  8. Some of the comments so far are laughable. You've either been drinking heavily or have recently suffered a blow to the head. Don't share the optimism of some and there's too many if's and but's for me to be positive of a top 6 finish, but will improve on last year I'm sure. I must have missed the BSPA statement about 6 man teams
  9. That's the line up sent to the BSPA for approval
  10. Pleased they ditched that ridiculous Premier Challenge trophy
  11. Not much exciting out of the BSPA conference. Top news is that we host a GB v Australia test match
  12. 9.50ish Would love to see him back, but I can't see him doubling up at this stage of his career Could be Simon Lambert that Ben was on about. Robert isn't eligible to race in the PL until April 2014
  13. I was with him playing an online speedway game last night. I should've asked!!
  14. Wasn't much fun for me on this years Northern tour. Abandoned after 6 heats at Edinburgh, soundly beaten at Berwick, then a total wash out at Newcastle.
  15. If Luke decides to call it a day I can see him spannering for someone at Rye. He'll be involved in one way or another
  16. Absolutely correct. He's often been quoted as loving the Rye track, so can't see why he wouldn't contemplate it, unless his services aren't required?
  17. Lanham struggled at number 1 at Ipswich. I reckon you can write off Doolan, doesn't fancy the travelling.
  18. No chance of him travelling this far south every week
  19. Something that needs to be addressed during the winter is the club website. For any professional sports club not have a website in this day and age is an embarrassment and a disgrace. Communication between the club and supporters needs improving.
  20. What's the formula for converting EL to PL averages, is it +60%?
