Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway It's been postponed Ian. Somerset are there in the League Cup. If Plymouth prevent Somerset getting 4 match points that's us through to the semi finals.

Glasgow Vs Plymouth Pl 05/06/2016Shadders replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway So basically Glasgow are preparing tracks to win at all costs and sod the entertainment?

Glasgow Vs Plymouth Pl 05/06/2016Shadders replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway It was warm and sunny then, so what went wrong this week, poor track prep, or poor opposition?

Glasgow Vs Plymouth Pl 05/06/2016Shadders replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway A meeting like last night at Rye. Lots of passing and close racing on a well prepared track?

Glasgow Vs Plymouth Pl 05/06/2016Shadders replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Afternoon meetings in warm sunny conditions = difficult track prep. No way of avoiding it. A later start would help

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway What did they win last year? Nitto, with no guarantee they'll win anything this year either. Throwing money at it isn't always the answer.Newport threw a bucket load of money at their team to win the KO Cup. The low crowds couldn't sustain it and they closed down

Ever get the feeling you've been had?

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Let's not get too downhearted. Most great sides take a season or two to build. The 1980 and 2005 sides weren't just thrown together, they evolved over time. A few lessons have been learned I'm sure regarding riders on assessed averages. We are by no means the only club affected. Even seasoned campaigners such as Havelock and Campbell have been caught out. Team BMR have a winning mentality, they will want success on the track. If you'd seen Steve Jensen after the meeting he was seething. They will get it right, but it won't be overnight. Your main problem is the home track. Absolutely no home advantage and very little passing. Contrast with Scunthorpe and Rye. Get your track back to how it was in the Peter Waite years and you may have something.

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Not sure what's up with Robbo. After a strong start to the season his scores seem to be tailing off. Perhaps age is creeping up on him. Three meetings in three days plus all that travelling is probably taking it's toll.

4 Brits in the Ipswich side, 3 in the Peterborough side. Do you actually have a brain?

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway I don't think my ticker can take another 30 heats like that

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway If you didn't enjoy that there's something wrong with you. Two teams giving it everything on what's turning into a great racing track. Kasper Lykke the stand out rider with some unbelievable racing. Both sets of fans leave the stadium smiling. In truth the Rockets got out of jail, but I'll take the draw, just to be able to sleep in my own bed tonight.

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Sissis pulled out because he's not mentally right after his Moto GP team mate died in a track crash yesterday.

Not So Positive Rye House Vib'sShadders replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway The difference between this promotion and the previous are pretty clear. The fans are kept informed via social media (although the Twitter feed hadn't been updated since April strangely). Len Silver wasn't very savvy in this area. Apart from a few red plastic seats from the old Plough Lane Stadium you'd be hard pressed to see any stadium improvements during the last few years of his tenure. One of the few criticisms I have is replacing the track shop and the way it was done.

Rockets V Berwick Sat 4th June 7 PmShadders replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Confirmed that Luke Bowen rides at 6 for the Bandits as guest for Hummel. After seeing them outgate Scunthorpe last night I reckon the Rockets will have a tough meeting on their hands tonight. Don't be surprised if the Bandits take a point, or even (heaven forbid) a win!! Bandits banter in full swing last night at Scunny

Scunthorpe V Berwick (pl) 3/6/2016Shadders replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Problem with Scunthorpe is that it's in the wrong place. Great race track, but each time I go I'm surprised how few people are there. Tonight was no exception.
