I think it's still 50p for the toll, but I haven't travelled up there for a while. Id suggest you get to Rye at least 45 mins before the start as the car park fills very quickly. Watch out for the huge pot hole at the car park entrance. I once saw a Smart Car disappear into it and it took a crane to get it out
It's pretty obvious to regulars. Attendances look up on last year at Rye. We haven't faced a Northern team yet, so have had the benefit of travelling support. Out of interest Ben, why did you stop attending?
6 of Kargers 11 points have come in the reserves race. The only riders in the 1-5 that Karger has beaten are Jake Allen and Michael Palm Toft. If this Etheridge kid is worse than Karger he must be really bad!
Yeah, obvious. You heard it second hand and jumped to that conclusion.
Out of interest, when did he make "a spectacle of himself" there?
Do we know Simon Steads thoughts about the state of the track?
Sheffield away used to be a must not miss in my speedway calender, but personal circumstances have changed, so away meetings, other than Ipswich and Peterborough, have had to be binned
Stadium has been run down for years. A few plastic seats bought from the old Plough Lane Stadium and the new refs box is the only changes I can recall recently.
First thing the promotion needed to do was address the adverse camber on the first/second bends.
As far as I'm aware planning permission was only given a couple of weeks before the start of the season. I don't think major stadium redevelopment can be done during the season.
The start of next season will see major changes in sure
Rye is never gonna have deep shale like some of the larger, wider tracks. It is what it is. I do know they've been working hard on it for most of the week. At least the dust was kept down and that banking on the second bend has produced an interesting cut back that Kasper Lykke used a few times
