  1. It will be interesting to see what happens Flying Ryan comes back. I cannot see Theo, Wilko or Josh being left out, and Alex has started to find some good form. Against Edinburgh he was the best Scunny rider.
  2. Now I know how Sheffield supporters have felt for the last few years. But as Sir Rob says 'It's not where you start, it's where you finish'.
  3. I feel the stadium location is a double edged sword. No curfews, unlimited practices and weekend meetings, unfortunately there is no public transport or local housing and is difficult to get there without your own transport. if you are unable to get there, it does not matter who appears or what the music is. I am not knocking all the efforts by Julie, etc and if I did not work away during the week I would have gone to the recent meeting to help. There are many good ideas on this thread, but I feel access is the biggest problem.
  4. Can Worky run during the week or do outside factors prevent this?
  5. I know people on here will be the first to correct me, but in my opinion very rarely do Scunny fans have a bad word to say about Rob or the team. OK, Williamson may not be the best reserve, but at home is never far off the pace. Ash Birks is usually in the points and trying his best. Rob is 100% Scunny, always entertaining on the mic, and most weeks the racing is excellent. When I read some of the abuse supporters give their own teams, Scunny are doing fine by me.
  6. The score line does not reflect the closeness of the match. Every heat had plenty of action. Felt sorry for Rob, last week he had the main sponsors in attendance and must have been keen for a close entertaining match. Unfortunately Rye House were shocking and the meeting was not the usual offering, pity they were not there tonight.
  7. According to Thomas Jorgenson on his website, his chain came off after being hit and wedged in the sprocket. He was unable to move the bike and was trying to get the ref to stop the race. Before anyone starts to jump down my throat and tell me that was not the case, do not shoot the messenger.
  8. Cracking match this afternoon, lots of twist and turns and a last heat decider. Flying Ryan was fantastic, and can only be a matter of time before all the team hit form. Anders may be back in 6 six weeks, which is great news.
  9. Went last night after hearing how the winter track changes will make for better racing, unfortunately it was the usual fare. As others have said, if the one pass by Bjerre on MPT is the greatest race ever, that just about sums it up. It is a shame because the rest of the stadium is spot on, and I always have a sociable chat with the home supporters who I my experience all always friendly. I do think £3 is to much for a programme, with the internet freely available to most people will look up anything they are interested in, so its the Scunny/Sheffield programme for me. Lastly, if you think that was cold you should try Scunthorpe.
  10. BBC Look North, the local news programme on after the main news, had a short piece last night and showed the track. It was more like a swimming pool on bend 3/4. Also interviewed 2 understandably upset Rebel supporters on the coach, it was a pity they did not interview Rob Godfrey or Richard Hollingsworth to hear their side of things.
  11. I think Albert echo's how every Scunny supporter feels. I would have loved a packed EWR this afternoon, the atmosphere against Worky was really good. I feel for the Rebel fans who cannot make it tomorrow, along with the many Scunny supporters who cannot it make it as well. I am pleased to see Jason Bunyan back, he has been an excellent guest in the past. Richard Hall, he can score anything between 5 and 15 (hopefully 5, but you never know). Fingers crossed for the weather and a Scunny win, but if it's not to be, congratulations to the Rebels.
  12. Great effort by the boys last night. As already mentioned EF's cost us dear, but hopefully tomorrow the luck will be on our side. Also, thanks Rob, Richard and the lads for coming over to the 3rd bend at the end to thank us all for coming.
  13. Is the M4/M5 junction still a nightmare or is it just in the summer. I am coming down the M4 and wondering if is it better to turn off before Bristol and come across country.
  14. No I am not talking about Workington in particular, I am just concerned there are supporters of various teams that seem to blame Scunny for a situation that was out of their hands.
  15. The answer is obvious really, get your promoter to build his own track, have access 7 days a week, no curfew and you can re-arrange any rain offs quite easily. Until then stop your crying princess.
  16. I don't think my heart could take another final like that.
