  1. I took Ward at the earliest opportunity. Betvictor now have him @ 6.5. I just hope that he can get over the events of last season and concentrate on what he does best. If so, I should at least get a trading opportunity.
  2. The Provincial League ran "black" many years ago, so I can only assume that they didn't have the blessing of the SBC, or anyone else. Can anybody clarify that?
  3. Therefore: Barry Briggs Leigh Adams Jason Crump Phil Crump Bob Roger Martin Ashby Mike Broadbank Sorted!
  4. As a matter of interest, Ove Fundin's real name was Ow Fundin, but when he came here to ride he changed it because he did not think that "Ow " was a suitable name for the Uk. I think he made a good choice!
  5. Well done Denmark! Thank goodness the joker did not win the world cup for the Aussies.
  6. it's a comedy of errors now, and great time to get rid of the joker for ever.
  7. Fantastic by Nicki! Whose the Danish team manager, Matt Ford?
  8. After the first two meetings, this was an anti-climax.At least we beat the Czechs! Hopefully, the final will be good.
  9. This has all the makings of a great meeting. Four teams, but only one going through! Should be cracker. The first two meetings have been close, and I can see no reason why this will be any different. Poland will be desperate to win after their failure on home shale, and I expect a neck and neck contest between them and Denmark. Gollob, and MJJ both go well at this track, add Nicki to the mix, and there should never be a dull moment. I just hope that team GB can be snapping at their heels.
  10. I think we have missed our chance of making the final now, because we will now be in the race-off from hell! I would not have fancied Australia to win that, let alone us. It was a very exciting and entertaining meeting though.
  11. Great from Woffy! But that helmet cam spoilt the race.
  12. Exactly. Beggars cannot be choosers. King has been in good form anyway.
  13. 130,000 fans watched Peter Collins win the 1976 world title in Poland, where have they all gone?
  14. I don't suppose that Hancock can believe his luck, so many of his nearest rivals all falling by the wayside with a whimper! How old is he now? 42? Unbelievable.
