Hi Lawrence My brother has had his spleen removed & lives a fairly normal life. As quite rightly advised by Hazzman, the spleen is there apparantly to ward off infections so he may struggle with colds & flu a bit more. My brother has to carry a card in his wallet to advise he has no spleen in case he has an accident but apart from that i dont think there's anything majorly different to when he had his spleen. Horror smash so fingers x'd that Krzysztof makes a full & quick recovery cos i've enjoyed watching him race this yr a lot. -
Congrats To Kenneth Bjerre
Bradford Ace replied to garf's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Congrats to Bjerre who gated well all day & was certainly one of the quickest riders on show. He always has been really when he gates altho when he misses the start he does look very average at times Think ur being a bit harsh tho cos dont forget, Bjerre actually got knocked out in the quarters & only got a reprieve cos Davy Watt missed his flight for the semi finals. Holder had his bad luck by having bike probs in his qualifier but wasnt fortunate enought to get a second chance like Kenneth did. Dont think anyone who has watched Holder this season could possibly argue against his inclusion next season as he has consistantly beaten the top riders in England, Poland & in the World Cup. Wasnt looking good 4 him at the interval yesterday with Sully on a max of 9 but now he's out i think its nailed on that Holder will be in. Pavlic started slow but looked very quick in the 2 races he won. Think its defo 2 soon for him & maybe Sajfutdinov but they could come in2 the series in 2010. Holder is a must for 09 as the 3 qualifiers will do nothing at all so there needs to be some new blood who can challenge this years top 8. My opinion of course. -
Agree totally. Dont like the guy at all but he was absolutely awesome 2nite. Was hoping he missed the starts to see what he could do & in a couple he was stone last on 1st lap & still came through to win!! Cracking meeting though esp when all the riders that were interviewed kept saying how slick the track was!! Didnt look it to me as plenty of passing & close racing all nite. Great team performance from Leszno & should be a close 2nd leg now. Wouldnt like to pick a winner.

Hey Lawrence, Really really hope that you can strike a deal with the Ekstraliga then for next season. Your not exactly asking for mega money so hopefully something can be sorted through sponsors or whatever although these big TV companies are not exactly the most friendly types are they & only want to look after themselves!! Must say though that i'd really miss your fantastic coverage if itv24 cant show the meetings next yr. I go to Belle Vue on a monday eve so every tues i usally settle down 2 Bydgoszcz's latest meeting & the racing has been brilliant most of the yr. Been raving about Sajfutdinov all yr on the Belle Vue website saying we should try & sign him & he's more in the public eye now after the World Cup so everyone is saying the same about him now. At least i've been able to follow every meeting this yr tho online which is great cos its been a cracking yr for them so far. Just need to finish off with promotion now to top it off which should be a formality really. Regret not seeing a league meeting live but my 1st taste of Bydgoszcz will be a week on saturday so cant wait 4 it now!! Hopefully next yr, i might make it over 4 a league meeting. If you keep AJ, Joonas, Sajfutdinov & maybe get Gollob & a couple of others then next season could be successful as well. Fingers x'd it will all be available online as well!! -

Anyone else struggling 2 get this?? Just noticed a different thread where some people cant seem to get the Ekstraliga stream but i can get that no problem but for some reason the Gdansk meeting wont load up so not sure if its just my computer?? Have seen every meeting this season home & away so will be gutted if i miss out on this one, esp as it seems 2 be the promotion clincher. Lawrence - do you know if there are plans to continue with this fantastic coverage next season if/when Bydgoszcz move up to the Ekstraliga?? That really would be fantastic 2 see all the GP boys week in week out around the best race track around..counting down the days now til i get 2 visit the place at long last for the GP. For gods sake though, can someone please keep that idiot Olsen away from the race track. We want it like it is every week for league action, not like the motorways he's obsessed with for the GP's!!! -

Cant wait for that one & as i'm out all day on sunday i shud be able 2 avoid the internet & the score until monday evening. Should have enough points in the bag for a swift return to the Ekstraliga hopefully, esp with a win here. Any news on who might join for 09 if the promotion campaign is successful?? A certain Mr Gollob perhaps?? -

This has prob been covered previously but as this thread is 25 pages old i cant be bothered trailing thru it all!!! Sorry!! Anyway, just wanted 2 know what the formats are for Ekstraliga & Div 1 play offs?? I've been following all Bydgoszcz's meetings online & know now that they meet the other top 4 teams home & away so they have 6 meetings to race, 1 already down after sunday v Poznan. Are the points gained here added on to the ones from the regular season with the winners going up & the 2nd placed team going into a play off with 7th in the top league?? The top league appears different as it looks to be 1 v 6, 2 v 5, & 3 v 4. How does it progress after this however?? -

Totally agree. Fantastic racing from what is clearly one of the most entertaining tracks in the world. Please please please dont let that utter imbecile Ole Olsen & his slick friendly track guys anywhere near this beautiful circuit for the GP in Sept. After watching every meeting online this season i'll be gutted if i get there to see it in person & its like the traditional Olsen motorway surface!! Heats 11, 12 & 13 were 3 of the best on the trot races i've seen for yrs. Sajfutdinov's ride in Heat 11 was ridiculous cos quite where he got that speed from i'll never know!! Was watching each race involving him, AJ & Joonas hoping they would miss the gate as its great when they do!! Fancied taking in a league match here & this was one i'd pencilled in as a possible. Gutted i didnt go now!! -
Been looking into the possibility of getting to a Swedish League meeting. What decent prices have ya seen & flying from where?? Most Swedish tracks seem to be in the middle of nowhere so could be a tricky trip to organise!!

Nice 1 mate. One quick bit of advice required on this. Dont get all this really but my mate recently gave me bitlord function which i've been using 2 download cd's (shhh!!) & so i thought i'd try the swedish league meets that i couldnt get b4. Managed to get Vastervik v Vetlanda & also Masarna v Lejonen pretty damn quickly. However, i've tried 2 others & i've had Vetlanda v Dackarna running for over 48 hrs & its still only 82% done!! I've managed to get Dackarna v Vastervik to 100% downloaded but then when i open the directory its got about 100 little boxes there so not sure if i have 2 combine them all 2 play the footage?? The other 2 that i have managed to watch downloaded 100% & then when i opened the directory there was one box saying real media player & when i clicked on it the whole 2 hr show was there?? Does anyone know where i'm going wrong with the recent downloads?? Hope this makes sense as have a feeling it doesnt!! -
Sounds pretty reasonable that. Where do you fly from??

Poland And Back In A Day
Bradford Ace replied to Blazeaway's topic in International World of Speedway
I've looked into it & i think its pretty impossible. Fancy a Bydgoszcz home meet in the play offs as have watched every one of their meetings this season online & the track is an absolute peach!! Mind u, i bet that imbecile Olsen manages 2 stuff it up 4 the GP in September!! The main problem appears to be a lack of flights out to Poland on a sunday. The best i cud come up with 4 a quick trip was flying out of Stansted on saturday at about 5.00pm to Bydgoszcz & then returning home on the sunday flight out of Bydgoszcz at around 11.00pm. Trouble is i'm 3 hrs away from Stansted so wouldnt be returning home til about 3.00am - 4.00am. Wouldnt mind but imagine if it was rained off!! I've tried Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and others from Liverpool with Ryanair but they dont fly out often & it ended up bwing fly out on a fri & home on a monday which is good 4 a GP say but not when ya want a quick trip!! -
European Gp 2009
Bradford Ace replied to leanne1706's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm sure it does have a roof but they've never actually used it yet for football or rugby as it aint necessary. I'd luv 2 see a GP there defo as long as it didnt replace Cardiff cos there is room for both in my opinion. If they can get the track something like they do at Copenhagen then it would be a fantastic addition 2 the calendar. Will take me back 2 the glory days of 1981 etc. hope its announced & the sooner the better. Fingers x'd!! -
The full meeting is online now at www.itvp.pl/event/zuzel

Hello This is a very old thread but just wanted some more info re League 1. You say that when the regular season finishes the league is split into 1-4 & 5-8. At the top end, when 1-4 have all met each other home & away is the winner of this mini league automatically promoted to the Ekstraliga or is there a play off between the top 2?? Thinking of maybe taking in a Bydgoszcz league meeting & trying to plan which one would have the best crowd/atmosphere?? Cheers.

Cant get anything at all when tried this last nite. went thru the u torrent & then pressed to download the meeting but after about an hr it had barely started so left it on when i went 2 bed. tried it 2nite when i've got in & loads the real player but then gives me a msg saying the video for this file cannot be played. When u check 2 see if there is an update it says there is no software update available from real to support this content. Anyone got any ideas?? -
