  1. Yeah, Wroclaw and Leszno both had 2 decent rsvs last season and was probably one of the reasons why they ended up being in the Grand Final. Smektala and Drabik were the main guys for them and are World U21 stars. Always unlikely the teams would want these 2 guys riding in England as they are too important to them. Drodz and Kubera were always going to be on our radar more as they aren’t quite as good as yet. In time though hopefully!!!!!
  2. If that was our starting 7 then i’m sure all us Aces fans would be ecstatic with it. Mind u, just can’t see Lebedevs riding over here and even if he did, could we afford him given we are allegedly on a tight budget for riders?????
  3. Can’t see that happening?? Why would Lebedevs be 4.50 when Pieszczek is confirmed at 6.50 and Lebedevs had a much better season culminating in him winning the SEC as well as starring for the Polish Ekstraliga runners up and Swedish Champions??? if he was 4.50 every club in the UK would have made him an offer surely??
  4. Pieszczek rode in main body of an Ekstraliga team though which is why he is 6.50. if we signed someone like that then there would have been no point getting rid of Smith on a 2.00 average to replace him with someone on a 2.50 average (if there is anyone??) as Smith would do a better job especially as he will be riding for the Colts again. Rumour is we want more strength at rsv so I would guess we would want probably a 4.00 rider at rsv leaving 5.00 for the assessed foreign guy so seems likely the rider will only have ridden in 2nd division, maybe a rsv at Division 1 level??
  5. Speedway Star saying Hans has signed for you guys although nothing official from the club or him yet??
  6. No thanks. One of the slowest riders round the NSS. Did ok for us last time at away tracks but was poor at home, similar to Nicholls was. With the 7 points or so that we should have left (providing the 6 from last year are back) we can sign far better riders than that.
  7. Can’t imagine a Belle Vue team without Cooky in it, especially as his average will be a bit lower for team building purposes also. Would have loved Zagar back on his last proper average but not on the new assessed one of 9.00. Presumed KL would be getting NKI or Lindgren as their No1 and would be surprised if they opted for Zagar??
  8. I agree. If we keep 5 of last year’s team and not Smith it leaves us 9 points. So if we get another rsv at say 4.5 it will only leave us with the same for someone who would be a 2nd string. think it would be more beneficial to have Smithy on 2 and then someone on 6+ like a Hougaard, L Bjerre or say Charles Wright. Smith will presumably be riding for the Colts again so more good track experience for him which should help him up his average.
  9. Went to Wroclaw this year for the World Games and whilst it was packed in the main stand, there were plenty of spare seats on the back straight. Whilst crowds are good in the Ekstraliga there is always plenty of room and as this isn’t a local derby then you will be fine i’m sure. The track wasn’t the best on the day but it was the first year on a newly shaped track and I believe they have resurfaced it now so should hopefully produce some good racing as the shape of the track looks like it should do. The City itself is excellent - loads to do and plenty of beautiful bars and restaurants in the main square. We stayed in the Centre and got a tram up to the Stadium. The hotel staff were really helpful and told us when and where to get the trams from. They were pretty rammed on the way back from the stadium but we got one after a bit of a wait. You’ll have a great time - Polish Ekstraliga is a top league and hopefully might get over there myself again this year with a bit of luck
  10. Ha ha, still not getting it eh!!! Never mind petal!!!!
  11. Sounds like u know it all?? maybe u should ask someone with a modicum of intelligence to explain it to u as u don’t seem to get it?? what I say is my opinion and what u say is yours, fair enough. I never said it was a “fact” that he hadn’t signed - I just said it was odd that it wasn’t announced at a Fans forum if he had?? Not backing down on anything if u read it properly. and again, I said we may not be able to afford Cooky and yet u keep banging on about retirement?? It doesn’t equate to retirement at all, there are other teams in the league that could sign him u know - we don’t have a divine right to sign him every season!!!!! Perhaps if you read the Belle Vue Facebook page you would see that there are others worried about our financial state and what might happen in the future. I’m sure a tv deal will be sorted and certainly hope it is as we can’t have any other clubs falling into financial difficulties which could easily happen without one.
  12. It’s my opinion u clown, just like u have yours!!!! if Cook had signed, why wasn’t it announced at a packed PC suite with the man himself there?????? Personally I think he will be riding for us next season but maybe he may have to lower his wage expectations a bit, especially if no tv deal is in place. Never said Cook would retire from British Speedway - who is making stuff up now then????? Plenty of teams have spots available who could sign him. Just saying, like Mr Rising said, that the tv deal could well be a key for us in how strong our team will be. If it’s a weak one then I do genuinely fear for us in the future. Again, my opinion only which I am actually entitled to have!!!!
  13. It’s not a troll post, I go every week and to quite a few away meetings as well. if you think all is well behind the scenes and everything is rosey then good for you, but believe me it isn’t. Why else do u think Cooky hasn’t signed yet - we can’t afford him at present basically. Hopefully a tv deal will happen meaning we can afford to build a competitive side like we have done the last few years. Without it, we may well struggle.
  14. If no TV deal I fear 2018 could be the last season in that stadium. Team will be built on a shoestring budget and so the crowds will be down to the bare minimum. Crowds were shocking last year really for how well the team did and how great the racing was, so if they drop even further I can’t see how it will be sustainable??? So lets all pray that a TV deal is sorted or we could be the next team in a long line that can’t afford to run anymore
  15. Or maybe the day before Easter Monday, probably our first fixture!!!!!!
  16. Any idea when the other fixtures are out?? Gutted that no Ekstraliga the day after Warsaw GP so hoping there might be some lower league action maybe??
  17. People keep tipping us (Belle Vue) but we haven’t named 1 rider yet!!!!!!!!
  18. Any news on when the Polish fixtures for 2018 are announced???
  19. I’d rather take Drabik but can’t see Wroclaw letting him ride here. Not sure re Przedpelski - gone downhill last couple of years & never fulfilled his early promise for me.
  20. Think people r putting 2 & 2 together as he is flying in 2moro, the same night there is a Fans meeting at the Aces. Been told the meeting at the Aces is purely an evening with Craig Cook to discuss his forthcoming GP season and his career to date although I would presume on the night he would confirm he’s riding for us in 2018. if Lemon and the Management are there i’m sure they will get asked about the team building although not sure they will give anything away just yet.
  21. KK fits nicely in there at just under 7!!! On his way to England 2moro so hopefully it’s to meet Lemo!!!! ♣️
