Always went with my dad... sadly he's no longer with us... gone to the big tractor racing track in the sky So I fly solo these days
-
Have you ever been to a Speedway meeting alone, as many of us do? On a cold spring or autumn night the allure of watching a tractor (seemingly) endlessly going around the track, soon wears off.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again you cannot be failed to be impressed when you first attend a Speedway match (Unless you've attended a shambles that we occasionally get). It's when you take a deep dive into the sport as you become more interested in it that it starts to let you down. It'll be interesting to see how your grandson retains his interest as he gets more into it and dare I say it Sheffield don't manage to put a serious challenge in to retain their title

You'd assume Leicester as Cairns has taken over
-
I'll give 'em 'til June

He's not been fined for his latest outburst yet has he? That £4500 could yet increase

I wonder if this new site they've identified has housing redevelopment potential?

Looks like Oxford have been forced(?) to run PL as insurance for when Birmingham inevitably fold mid- season... or don't even make it to the tapes in March
-
The point of boxing and martial arts though is not to kill your opponent... or even hurt them for that matter, it's about scoring points

at scrapping?
-
Both of the scrappers out then

There's always been a bit of a debate of where the law starts and finishes in a sporting arena. It's a while ago now but i seem to remember something in football many years ago, 1 was to do with Duncan Ferguson and the other Gary Mabbutt and "Fash the bash". Thankfully I can't recall anything similar in Speedway, I suppose the equivalent in Speedway would be somebody with a reputation like Nicki Pedersen going too far and "fencing" an opponent with the worst possible outcome. Then it's a matter of opinion of whether it was a deliberate action or not. Fortunately, as far as I'm aware, the sport has never had to deal with this, but it came very close this summer with the Craig Cook incident.

He'll need one to pay off all of his fines

works for me all the time on mobile... but only for some users when I try in on PC

I can't believe you're all ignoring the biscuits!
-
Can you provide a full cost breakdown of your holiday to the Canaries please?
-
I have... Dark Chocolate Hob-Nobs are the Premiership League of biscuits though... it's Bourbons for you... unless you move up of course, in which case you can have the Chocolate Hob-Nobs in 2 years time!
-
You been to the Shateau (as seen on TV), that's where they should have held the conference!
-
Maybe a full explanation of the costs involved and a new contract for the exclusive provision of biscuits for the conference from a Turkish biscuit manufacturer looking to break into the sport... they'll probably fall apart as soon as they're dunked though
-
Because it was entirely conceivable that the season could still be going 3 weeks into November?
-
Perhaps @GS550 is used to the finer things in life when he goes to Tenerife... chocolate covered Hob-Nobs for example
-
And 2H2A
-
I've seen some topics go off at a tangent into pretty pointless futile arguments... but how much does a week in Tenerife cost pretty much takes the biscuit... speaking of which, I wonder if you can get chocolate bourbons in Tenerife?
-
I also raised this on the Brandon Update thread during the first part of the inquiry
