Leicester vs Sheffield 3/8/23
IainB replied to Lenny Lion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You don't really know do you? Me neither tbh, like Phil suggests it just sounds like they've redeclared their team too early... or maybe I'll put my tin foil hat back on again -

If I had my tin foil hat on I may have thought Sheffield were throwing this one so Leicester get more exposure in the league and play offs as the club is up for sale... but I haven't... so I don't think that at all. Bad management it is then... from the joint GB manager too -

So why can't they use R/R for Holder? -

So, can somebody explain to me why Sheffield are using a "No Facility" facility (Connor Mountain), so that is a facility to replace the injured Jack Holder if Woffinden's "arrangement" doesn't start until next week? Yet again it's the fans that get short changed! -
Tomato and HP?

I can't see anyway that BSPL would accept them while Buster still has the Peterborough "Asset" for sale
-
For NORA?
-
I think it would have to probably be more IoW style as I would have thought that the closed shop BSPL would block any other promotion trying a start up on "Buster's turf"... and would any Panthers fan turn up to watch that?

Will Tai be able to race in the SWC

Too many "may"'s and "could well"'s in that view, probably wouldn't stand up in a court of law. He could equally have had a bag of sweets that he wanted to throw into the crowd. That's why we don't arrest people before a crime has been committed. Is it a legal offence to enter the competitors only area? In the UK it is a criminal offence to invade a football pitch for example, not sure what the Polish law states. I suppose you could say the physical assault "victim" was guilty of trespass but we're getting into the realms of Polish law which I'm assuming neither of us really know much about. -
We've done that! We've removed the ability to tac-sub in 2 legged matches... I can't understand why the great unwashed have not bought into this. Your point is spot on though, where other sports (Football the exception) have diversified and run in different formats for different audiences we've abandoned Fours, Pairs, Individuals, Test Matches in favour of running EVERY match exactly the same. Variety is the spice of life

Well, that's quite a trolly post, but... I know what I saw... Woffinden physically attacked somebody from behind and when security came piling in they suppressed the guy who had been attacked -
I know it's easy to say in hindsight but it may have been wiser to have thrown the cheque book at Dougy at the start of the season instead of the likes of Nicki Pedersen

I notice that Leicester have had their top boffins working on getting a countdown clock working on the centre green and finally managed it for this match. Well done to Ippo on their win although it looked like nobody told Ritchie Hawkins about it!

I think Ando and Puk can still both do a job... not as heat leader or 2nd string, respectively, though. In the current BL setup I think Puk can be a decent 2nd/3rd heat leader (Danny King level) and Ando a very decent reserve come 2nd string. If they're both still enjoying their Speedway why should they not carry on

Ellis? -
Would have been nice to have seen him out practicing after the meeting last night along with Basso, Jenkins & Woj
-
There's a lot of 3's
-
That's not really Andersen's style is it. Panthers certainly missed him last night! If Peterborough are around next season and are at the showground they should be going all out to sign Ryan Douglas, I've never seen him have a bad meeting at Peterborough (awaiting posts telling me he scored 1 point a few years ago ), Brady Kurtz is another who excels at the showground. I know it's early days for the young inexperienced Pole but he performed exactly how inexperienced Poles perform in this country. Not sure why they packed their team out with Danes this year when historically it's more of an Aussie style track

Simon Stead and Oliver Allen.... Stand down?
IainB replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Wright's Home BV average = 8.24 Brennan's Home BV average = 7.60 Not much in it, add in Brennan's international experience and he gets the nod, in the eyes of S&A -

I wonder if that makes a profit... currently there are no Cubs in the senior team, I assume they're getting loan fees for some of the asseted riders
