  1. They've got to go in and out of that room about 50 times first though don't forget
  2. Looking forward for a night of high farce in front of a sold out grandstand and televised across Europe... somebody get the Benny Hill music ready
  3. Talking of which... where are Anders Rowe, Drew Kemp & Dan Gilkes... still on their way back from Latvia?
  4. Lewis Kerr now withdrawn with "injury"... replaced by the injured Joe Thompson
  5. No doubt Rob Godfrey will be making his annual TV address tonight...maybe he'll announce a 10 round championship next year and the date for the Jubilee Trophy Final
  6. Yes... the track, it's taken a lot of rain and rides very different in those circumstances, should open it up a bit to who can adapt to conditions and Dan has been far from unbeatable around the NSS this season
  7. Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like the track is in for a lot of rain and we all know the track at the NSS is not at it's best when it's over wet... could produce a surprise winner. May bring the likes of Bomber into the equation... he can read his statement out from the top of the podium Richie Worrall will be kicking himself if the track is heavy, it's a bit of a leveller
  8. This is going to be the biggest anti-climax since Leicester's signing of Max Perry
  9. To be fair they have done this... The Jubilee Trophy, that was very relevant and really captured the zeitgeist.
  10. There's some weirdos on here that can't let go that he was involved in an incident about 20 years ago and have this vendetta of hatred against him... sad, sad people! Personally i find watching him quite entertaining and gives an extra insight into what it takes to run these meetings. Better than watching endless replays or listening to Kelvin Tatum prattle on. He's does sound like a drug dealer though when he's trying to sell his methanol
  11. Yet nobody can provide one single name of a rider that "didn't fancy it"
  12. Give it to Richie Worrall he would have won it if it had been anywhere but the NSS
  13. Freddie Lindgren uses a belt drive and had long covid! Why has nobody mentioned this?
  14. 10 years ago... nobody denies that it hasn't produced decent racing in the past
  15. Don't think so... Plymouth had a top heavy team at Glasgow last night Worrall, Barker, Howarth, then nothing, racing was excellent!
  16. A good article, something you'd expect to read from a first timer, unaware of all the politics and in fighting... that comes later I do wish Nigel Tolley would stop talking about moving to the Alexander stadium, he loses credibility every time he does!
  17. He was breaking track records at Redcar while the rest of the team (Anders Rowe excepted) were embarrassing themselves in Latvia
  18. Doesn't have to be passing to be a good race though (for me at least)... often a close race with no passing can be as exciting as a race with passing. Passing shouldn't be easy, it should take skill and bravery, that's what makes it exciting (for me). But at Poole, especially last Wednesday generally the "racing" was so spread out and from the gate, the very worst kind of Speedway for me
  19. Was listening to him on the podcast a week or so ago and a couple of times he described himself as a "Winner"... could have been Whinger though I suppose and I mis-heard Love him or hate him, he certainly put many more bums on Sheffield seats last Thursday and there was a real buzz about the place
  20. So it looks like you can have a big home victory AND brilliant speedway racing... just not at Poole it seems
