This was a new competition introduced last year as the Summer Trophy with 3 regional groups and the winners of each group meeting in a final to be held at a neutral venue, Sheffield. Then it was re-branded without any press release to the Jubilee Trophy, then the final at a neutral venue was abandoned in favour of a 3 legged final at each of the finalists home tracks, then Glasgow pulled out because Her Majesty the Queen died () just leaving Leicester and Poole as the finalists and that final has not been run. Both clubs, months ago, have said the final will be run and then it's been silence! And now we're starting this years competition! It has never been the Premier Trophy, League Cup or Champ Sheild it's only ever been the Summer Trophy and the Jubilee Trophy. Why anybody should support this competition is beyond me... what's the situation for the BSN Series final do you know?

Kerr was a bit naughty there on 2 counts for me, firstly throwing his back wheel at MPT crossing the line and then physically attacking him after the race. In fact, very naughty with the latter.

Fair enough we'll have to agree to disagree I think... what I will say though is that it's only a quarter final because of the severely depleted numbers in the top league, soon they'll be starting with semi finals! Also the KO Cup has been so devalued over the last 10 years or so it's little more than a fixture filler these days, in fact it's only been run in the top league twice in the last 10 years... and after the fiasco of last season you can't be guaranteed that the final will even be run! One thing we can agree on is that Leicester have lost out on a good crowd for their opening fixture... hopefully folk will turn out in numbers for the new opening fixture... there's a lot of bridges that need rebuilding after the end to last season.
