  1. I believe it was perfected by the Danes, Hans Andersen was particularly good at the move and to a lesser extent Nicki P... although he never quite nailed it, preferring to nail the rider instead.
  2. A Championship League & Jubilee Cup winning side before we start speculating about next season
  3. What I thought was missing was a rendition of Sweet Caroline after heat 14 with the fans waving their phones around with the lights on... that would have been so good, so good, so good!
  4. Yes, fair play on those... all I've seen him do for most of this season is trail round at the back, he's hardly a habitual winner... oh and don't forget he massively let the Birmingham fans down, he's not a team man
  5. Or maybe some of his key riders didn't put a shift in over the 2 legs?
  6. Kurtz saying the Aces fans are some of the best he's seen in British Speedway... he's only got Poole fans to compare them with though (Don't mention Somerset)
  7. Great tie over 2 legs, Congrats to the Aces well deserved. Disappointed with Steady's comments blaming the ref... thought he was better than that
  8. What the hell has Lambert got coming out from under his seat?!?
  9. I still care... if they start a competition they should finish it, if only for credibility's sake.
  10. A first corner incident for Sam... halfway down the back straight (away)
  11. Sam seems to have forgotten he used to ride for Belle Vue for a couple of seasons
  12. Poole are proving themselves to be a good cup team, nothing more. The 2 best teams in the league were Leicester and Glasgow and that's a fact
  13. Having SO many wildcards, where is the jeopardy? Some riders can just plod along "safe" in the knowledge that they'll get a wildcard if they miss a round due to "injury" if they're having an average season. Those riders who do go through the qualifying series don't come up against these "world class" riders in world championship qualifying events so don't have the opportunity to compete at the level needed to make the grade
  14. As @piepower said this seems perfect for junior level Speedway with riders progressing onto 500cc meths. Buy a standard piece of kit that you can "turn up" as you progress. The authorities have the power at the moment to dictate technical rules regarding the addition of "trick" parts, so if they don't do it at the moment there's nothing to suggest they'd stop riders adding trick parts to these electric bikes if they were to be used as replacements for the 500's. There's also the sound issue, for me that is a massive part of Speedway, often if it doesn't sound fast... it doesn't look fast. Look at F1, since they've moved from the V10 & V8 screamers to the low revving hybrids... it just doesn't sound fast anymore, and they know it! For me I'd be happier watching the seniors on something more like the 250cc machines the SGP3 riders were using, sounded fast, looked fast and the riders seemed to be approaching the limits of their machines so there was more emphasis on the riding skills of the riders to make the difference.
