Damien Bates said on this weeks podcast that it's the FIM that say it has to be the national champion that gets the wildcard, i thought the national governing body was able to choose, so that must have changed at some point
Josh Pickering seems a real class act... it's such a shame that he'll probably reach such a level that he'll have to leave British Speedway behind at some point when Poland come calling.
I could clearly smell burning rubber last night at Peterborough and then in the very next race Fricke limped over the line with a puncture. It looked like Nicholls may also have suffered one earlier in the evening the way he left his bike at the pit gate. It seems when the conditions are right (wrong!) at Peterborough they seem to have more problems than most, this must be rectified before next season
Reading the statement this morning, call me a cynic, but what exactly does "use of the grandstand and track" mean? As that term is used specifically a number of times, the devil is in the detail and I'm wondering what this is actually going to mean?
